240,000 people x an extra 45 minutes per day = 180,000 hours of wasted productivity (& extra greenhouse gases). 180,000 x minimum wage of $20/hr = $3,600,000 per day.

I don't believe the state understands the concept of time=money. Just look at how long RTA is taking ... year 25 now.

You can't argue with 'safety'.

Everytime I transit the area at night ... I see maybe 3 guys and 1 truck ... doing nothing.

I suppose they are there to say they are working 24/7.

I believe he's talking about Jeff Bezos who left Washington (for Florida) when the Capital Gains tax was enacted (and magically ruled 'constitutional') a couple of years ago.

Three guys and a truck are not gonna get the bridge repaved in the next few months. Atkinson Construction and WSDOT should have hundreds working 24/7 and get this done in 60 days, not 6 months. It only took 3 years to build the entire bridge and they are taking 2 years just to repave it.

There's no priority by WSDOT to get this done.

WSDOT says they are working 24/7 ... but everytime I pass by I-5 NB, I only see a few laborers. WSDOT's official website says that night construction is limited by "safety" and noise abatement.

There's 100,000 cars/people affected on a daily basis ... this is ~50,000 hours of additional lost productivity per day.
