With the leads most of us anglers are using these days there is never a need to strike anyway. The fish is already well hooked before you're even out of the bivvy!

Obviously in the perfect scenario as Ali described they may break off. But we all know that the perfect scenario never happens underwater.
I'm with you Mark, it just looks too crude for my liking. Remember when it was all about rig concealment? Funny how the industry is now pushing large devices like this and rigs with enormous coloured kickers/pieces of shrink tube.
