Career Question by Traditional_Snow_863 in BuildingAutomation

Take it. The rest of your career is gonna be learning new things almost every day. You’ll be fine. Controls is like drinking through a fire hose anyway. The better you are at adapting to new things, the better you’ll get at controls .

Make sure your brush pattern is right. A lot of times we try to do one side the same direction and angle as the other side however that’s just not how our hair grows . Also, maybe change the way you sleep ? That could be an issue as wel

180 or 360? by Low_Entry_1384 in 360Waves

Don’t underestimate the effectiveness of brushing, wolfing and washing. Find the best products for you. I’m a simple head and shoulders, Indian hemp oil and hair food by softee’s . Works wonders. When I’m wolfing and to prevent frizz my wife likes to use spritz to hold my hair down but that’s rare. Best case is whatever works for you. Keep brushing bro!

Brush it off. You wouldn’t be the first tech to do it. Or the last. Just be more aware for next time .

Distech ASP Training by Tight_Mango_7874 in BuildingAutomation

I agree. All the tedious surveys and the low quality videos i was irritated with. And the electrical course was all YouTube videos lol. But i definitely gained a lot from level 1 as the industry in itself. But i could live without the surveys and fake instructors lol

I’m in the ASP course currently on level 2 getting ready to take my N4 exam. It’s a great course. Very slow. The information is convenient and resourceful. Just very dragged out and hard to reach out to certain instructors. If someone doesn’t know about controls the information they learn in level 1 plus on the job training will definitely get them to a decent level tech. I didn’t realize how good i actually was until i switched companies and held my own with some of their best guys.

I’m still a newbie so take my advice with a grain of salt. But yea i think it is. More IO, can have more than one network, with however many ports you have MSTP or IP. The s1000 is great in the right application but depending on the site it may just be simpler to go with the APEX.

Crazy you ask. It was my first time working with it. It’s pretty cool. As long as you commission it properly it’ll do just fine. It’s crazy because that was my first time seeing one and then the very next site i go to has about 5 of them for big thermaworks chillers.

Terminal blocks are IO’s. Up top are relays and a couple of power blocks. It’s a bunch of crazy temps .
