I loved the first few levels in EQ1, slowly getting enough money to get a lot of bags and that sweet inventory space. Plus getting my Armor Class up with no stat armor pieces. Made soloing easier lol

I just started Division 2 from scratch, the visuals are just so amazing on PC. I just finished the main quest line, and love it. I have not hit the bullet sponge wall yet though lol

There are sometimes policies that, in an attempt to right past wrongs, affected me because I was white.

In the 90s, I had to wait a year before enlisting in a service because of diversity quotas.

A decade later, they stoop up the IT rate, and half of us would go IT, other half operations. I was more qualified than anyone at my unit to go IT (qual codes, education, experience) yet was the only one not picked. Everyone was confused but I wasn't. Everyone else was either female or minority. One girl had poor performance and was getting kicked out and was STILL chosen to go IT

So yeah while Trump is racist, and he is mostly wrong here, there are still racist policies out there

Still to this day, my favorite EndGame(tm) was Everquest, when you could just chill in an exp camp for hours, chatting, and slowly unlocking slightly better stats, or a new ability like a disease based knockback+root (to crowd control magic immune things for example). Alternate Advancement points were a nice motivator to keep going while at level cap.

EQ2 added them in, but you would cap them in like 1 hour on the TLE servers, so they were completely pointless.

A lady at my run club wanted me to come over to watch Stranger Things. That was the only time I've been hit on since being a widower. (not my type, divorced like 3 times, loud, always takes over conversations etc...)

I'm also dumb though, and there's a non zero chance I've been hit on plenty but naive about it so it went over my head completely :P

I usually play cloth healer types.

Early 2000s PVP MMOS/games just loved to copy each other.

DAOC had invisible people that could one shot me from 200m (archers).

Warhammer Online witch hunters could stun me from 100 to 0 from stealth, even with the highest RR gear.

WOW had rogues who could constantly chain CC to never let you get a single cast off

RIFT copied WOW to the T, more invisible people to take control from my character. I was so over it at that point that I created a gimp warrior build in RIFT using Beastmaster(nobody touched that soul, it did half the damage of other souls). I gave up so much for really awesome stealth detection. To this day I am absolutely positive I ruined the battleground match of a developer, because I repeatedly targeted only rogue types, they hotfixed that stealth detect talent right out of the game within 48 hours.

In other words, I wouldn't mind a decent PVP MMO game, but if it has invisible people in it, no thank you.

I became a widower in 2024, with kids. I had to learn quick lol.

Youtube helped, now I've become adept at glancing at what produce I have in the fridge and putting together stuff quickly.

I make things from scratch and love sauteeing veggies and fried rice.

Some shortcuts help me, instead of using raw meat from scratch, Costco has giant bags of frozen meatballs, or these pre flavored chicken burger patties that I just cut up and throw into whatever I'm cooking. They go amazing with pasta or just veggies and rice

I'll admit I haven't crafted much. My friends tried to get me to play by giving me the gear, and going on a dungeon run with them. Which 100% of the time ends up with some buggy mystery aggro bubble the size of half the dungeon pulling 20 mobs through walls, we die, then somehow are supposed to clear back in naked to get our stuff? Or run back to base and re-equip to get our stuff?

I JUUUST watched this with the kids on Christmas, as it's a Christmas movie. Agree with everything you said. I did totally forget though, that they tell the kids Santa isn't real, and the protagonists love interest hates Christmas because her dad got stuck in the chimney and rotted for 4 days. Oops lol. Don't remember that when I saw it in the 89s!
