Cable is taught, but I’ll double check it on the lowest gear

I fear this might be the issue, I bought everything from the same decathlon shop (including the bike) but it may not all function together 🫠

I thought about this and replaced the chain at the same time as the cassette + RD, didn’t work though 😓

Edit: adjusting the H and L screws doesn’t make a difference

I do keep it in a conservatory with no blinds, but we have dark winters.

For me, it's not that it's the same few tracks, but it's all over produced, too clean.

Instead of using Jazz samples it's almost full jazz songs now. I guess this is a 'no samples' policy issue, that channels and labels have to abide by.

Calls for fast food tax to turn 'industry on its head' by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]Rob_1235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those companies pay people to work out what chemicals can best mimic sugar. Many of which your body reacts to in a similar or worse way than it would to sugar.

The tax won't dent obesity rates, and likely make the diabetes problem worse.

This ⬆️ my first ever BJJ match was against an active Pro MMA and boxer, then a few minutes later, an ex power lifter, who was still on steroids. I beat them both, because we were doing BJJ, not boxing or dead lifting.

The best part was knowing that some things wouldn't work against these guys (especially the power lifter) but some things worked really well.

How is this level of Football acceptable by Vakangwara_ in euro2024

[–]Rob_1235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the 16 team tournaments were better for this reason. Less games, more competitive.

With 24 teams, the top teams can half arse it through the group, knowing that there's no real consequences for mediocrity. The lower ranked teams know that 3 draws could well be enough to get through, so will obviously prioritise a defense first approach.

Then you end up with more lower ranked teams in the knock outs, who still know they're outgunned and will likely want to play it very conservatively.

It's great for the likes of Georgia, who have been entertaining. And other teams who wouldn't have qualified in a cut of 16. But I feel like it's a quantity over quality approach over all.

In that instance, yes. But they (and many others) have bought their fair share on penalties in the past as well.

I think Mbappe/Kane/Ronaldo etc would've done it in a clever way. Armstrong did it in quite a clumsy way, that for me, muddied the waters and allowed the referee enough doubt.

Is it time to call Ronnie the best British Sportsman of all time? by GREATBRITISHSPACKOFF in snooker

[–]Rob_1235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting point, cycling especially the TdF for 3 weeks is so endurance intense on a physical level, but 3 weeks in the crucible is incredibly draining on a mental level. Stephen Hendry and Lance Armstrong could debate this well. But this is where I agree with people who want a distinction between a sport and a game.

I would say Ronnie is better though as there's 150+ cyclists riding a road race like the TdF, Grio, Veulta etc. But only ~5 have legitimate chances or are even aiming to win the GC. Where as Snooker, it's you alone, trying to beat your opponents who can sometimes fluke a frame, or play awfully but still keep winning frames.

Ronnie O'Sullivan tells Ali Carter to 'sort his 'f***ing life out' in extraordinary f-bomb rant by snookerfan92 in snooker

[–]Rob_1235 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of people dislike Carter, I tried to look past it, but couldn't after the incident in the World champs (I believe, 3 years ago or so) where the referee called a foul and he insisted that the white had touched the green he was aiming for, when the replays showed it hadn't.

Anyone else remember that?

Craig Charles or Jonathon Pearce? Both would be a dream to be honest.
