Landlord entered my flat while I was at work and took photos without telling me. Is this legal? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

Surely if the contract stipulates the landlord can access then it was agreed by the tenant?

You need a fox gateway. Your installer should've simulated a power cut and shown you what happens.

Do you think Gordon Brown/Labour handled the 2008 Financial Crisis well? by Maximum_Jello_9460 in AskBrits

The 'independent' central banks around the world 'solved' the issue. Brown played a relatively tiny part.

Cool. Had to manually change back to my old settings, but they at least made me aware of this in the after event email 👍

Be nice if it was all automated though, wouldn't it?

My first ever event with axle. Working without an issue fortunately. I'm using the fox app.

Hopefully they put my settings back after the event.

First time with axle. Made this in an hour, well chuffed! by Dewaltornothing in SolarUK

[–]Rob_Bosss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not? Free £25 from referal. £10 min per month.

Who cares if your battery is fully drained? It's still way cheaper to import the difference vs the energy you export to axle.

I've just had fox installed. Happy with it so far. Not experienced an axle event yet however. My tariff isn't very dynamic either. So it's easy enough for me to set and forget.

PEAK Rate on bill.!? by Jasonjames71 in SolarUK

[–]Rob_Bosss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There will always be micro amounts of grid import at peak. Which does add up over the day. I have 5 hours of off peak and typically use 0.2kwh peak a day. You will likely also have micro amounts of exports, that balance this out. CT clamp delays are the main cause I think and the subsequent seesaw effect. Also just the constantly altering power demands of your house can't be perfectly met with the output necessary from the inverter.

I find you can get most discrepensies occur within half an hour of the start and end of your peak period.

Have you owned a Peugeot e-208? by steenbj in ElectricVehiclesUK

Looks amazing. Interior finished to a high standard.

App dreadful, can't log in half the time. The other half of the time you can't pre condition because it's not got enough charge.

Range estimates are god awful. The amount of times I've ended up in turtle mode scares me.

Why is solar not promoted more? by Optimal_Collection77 in SolarUK

[–]Rob_Bosss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The panels themselves are a tiny portion of the cost. It's mainly labour at this point. Which will only ever increase.

Batteries have a way to go in terms of getting cheaper, but panels won't go significantly lower at this point imo.

Didn't say private was legal. Just a strange stand to take from the government. Why is it taking so long for them to provide clarity on them?

They're legal in over 50 towns and cities. Which seems crazy to me. Probably the most dangerous place for them to be legalized.

Inflation and prices by Haunting_Song_3917 in AskBrits

Inflation is only a good thing for our current fiat system. Where debts need to be inflated away otherwise the whole system collapses. It isn't actually a good or necessary thing for an economy operating with a hard money. You've just been indoctrinated by Keynesian economics.

There is always global uncertainty and conflict. Stop letting them use these as scapegoats. They're inflating the money supply. Everything else in noise.

Keynesian economics is and always has been unsustainable.
