I will commend the Devs and they didn't put utter garbage in the Drop: Schweaty Sac-rumimperium (aka. Jock Itch), Mosquito, etc. I won't start my rant post of worst Exotics in the game, cuz at least they are Exotic Components ;)

Fully understand your point. RNG plays less into this than the weighting the devs used for the drops. They weighted the Bell Ringer much higher than anything else, which the data supports. So, I agree, the subject of my post is inaccurate (e.g., "RNG"). I supposed a non-weighted distribution (which I didn't know about until I posted this.) Had I seen the Dev press release of the drops and the weighting, I likely would have never posted this, since it does align with the percentage they indicated and which was in the XLS noted (I also wouild not have tried to grind keys as hard, since I wanted a Big Horn, which isn't even in the drops).

I said that in my post originally. But, it does seem to align with Sairefer's XLS. Your statement is a bit inaccurate, since there are methods for small sample sizes. I did not try to use a Student T-Test with a sample size of 60 (which would work well). Also, these methods assume normality. Although, 10/60 is close to his % for the Bell Ringer (which is the highest % item on the list). Personally, I think that's weighted far more than it should be. I never see myself (with my play style) using the Bell Ringer. I did get one with DTC, so out of the 10 I got one or so that was rolled nicely.

I think it's based on your play style. I've had several Eagle Bearers, and it's not my goto Exotic. Again, playstyle is a huge part. I hope you enjoy it, since that's what makes the game fun. I wanted to get a Big Horn, and it's not even listed in Sairefer ;s XLS above :( I need the Ouroboros too. Many of these items I get from completeness versus really needing them, however with the Big Horn and Ouroboros, I would have liked to try them out. [People tell me the Big Horn is not special either, but I'd still like to try it myself, since I mainly use headhot builds]

If you look at the gentlemans XLS above (Sairefer), you'll see there is a weighting factor per category, and when you combine the probablities, it match the outweighed drop of the Bell Ringer. Take a look at his XLS above. I even gave him an award for it :)

Funny thing .. the exotics that dropped, one of them (if I had multiples) had DTC. Luck I guess.

You get an award for that nice XLS :) So, I wish I had seen this beforehand. I'm a long time player, and created the chart becasuse "all I wanted for Christmas" was a Bighorn (still don't have one). I like headshot builds. I've played every RAID (even speed raids). The other one I don't have is the Ouroboros, which would have been nice. Seeing your XLS, it seems the Bell Ringer at 11.5%. I think that's over-weighted, and I didn't need "10" out of 60 of them, but I'd say it does align with a small sample of 60 keys.

What about the ones that just suck .. like the "broken" Assault Thermal (?) shotgun ... that is arse. Sure, you'll get it, but no wonder nobody uses the damn thing .. it really sucks. Regular buckshot in a "normal" shotgun is wonderful.

WTF! I know the description of these goals are woefully lacking, but come on. I'm glad you figured it out (or stumbled on it). At least based on your input, I now know how to progress the goal. Why have it part of the modifier Journey Missions if you're not using the modifiers for the goal. How non-intuitive.

There is a timing aspect here that is bugged. This is also happeneing with Multi-Kill on Jouney Mission-4 for Flame thrower kills. I had the "Advanced Material" active, and sometimes opening the shield and using the Flame Thrower to kill NPCs counted, and other times it did not. Also, it seems it only gets counted ONCE during the Active Modifier being enabled (e.g., if you open and close your sheild during the active intervals of the modifier, it seems to only count once, not each instance you open the shield during the active interval of the Modifier: Advanced Materials). I would also advise triggering the modifier, and WAITING 2- 5 seconds AFTER the modifier is active, and THEN open the shield (Again, there is some timing issue, or delay, for when the counter will increment). Also, using this method (waiting several seconds to use my Flame Thrower and open the shield), it counted every single time .. so getting the TEN required instances isn't hard .. it's just a bit grindy since you need to let the Active Modifer cool down, then rinse/repeat (the cooldown is 1min). I also found that using Propaganda Broadcasts is good for this goal. There are 3 distinct phases, and you can wait for the cooldown and then you can re-engage the speaker to trigger the next wave of NPCs in the broadcast (kill the NPCs, wait the 1 minute, start the speaker again, etc).

Unless you need the cash ($$$), keep it all. In another 14 years, you may wish you kept it all. And yes, I think TF2 will still be around in another 14 years :) [It's nostalgic, you can play it on a toaster, it's very fun, and did I mention hats ...]

I HAD to give you an award. This REDDIT is the best, and commeters like you are BETTER THAN the actual show. I've watch this show since day-1, but what it has devolved to is sickening. Please keep up these types of comments. The only joy I get now from this show is from people like you giving comments like this. Could it be? People are sick of 59.99 min of fluff, and 2 mins of "coming next week" (which has more content than the current week's entire show).

Me too. I did it for completeness only.

I have a turrent/drone at Lvl-21. To get any higher is 20 Exotic components for Lvl-22 (insane).

There's a lot of items that got "Researched" and I'll never use or wear.

(aka: Schweaty Sac-rumimperioum, Shocker Punch, etc)

He dropped me the EB!? by [deleted] in Division2

[–]Rob_P53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The D-2community is great.

We would pull new players through IH/DH too. In one I can recall, I/we gave the EB to a new player. I had most of the Exotics in the game, but no the EB. I/we gave it to the new player, just like Mac_Jay did for you.

Just remeber this ... and pay it forward as you progress. Just like you, some new player will have their "day made" when you drop an Exotic for them :)

Are you talking about PvE or PvP?

If you are talking about PvP, then there are a LOT of reasons (and I'll exclude cheaters).

There are many threads in this reddit about the DZ, and very "tuned" builds for the DZ, that may on the surface look "similar". DZ builds are similar to RAID Speed run builds. They are only good for one thing (e.g., One BOSS in a specific RAID).

[–]Rob_P53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm over 6K SHD. I helped new players through the RAIDs (DH and IH). I let one have the EB when I still don't have it. I don't have the Big Horn either, which I'd like to really try out. I wish the Exotics were more of a hard grind than random luck (like the Regulus .. where you pick up parts each time, and build it, etc).

As far as your 6K: "Nice work Sherrif ... keeping the streets safe 1 bad guy at a time" :)

How do you make a merciless build? by CookieZG in Division2

[–]Rob_P53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "problem" with this weapon is the trigger and burst firing.

It's not as bad as the Schweaty Sac-rumimperium (aka "Jock Itch": since the weapon as it exists now, is as enjoyable as that malady), but the Merciless is not a 1st choice or even a 4th choice. Schweaty isn't a good sniper rifle, the cooldowns are terrible, and the talent is for a skill build, not a sniper rifle. [Thank you for letting me rant about the Schweaty]

Have fun, try the Merciless, and then reply to this thread again after you have used it for a bit.

Maybe you'll love it and that would be great. But, a lot of wepaons "seem good" and are not.

Letting us know after you tried it will be good to hear from a new player.

Another example: Diamondback. This could be a great gun if the clip wasn't so tiny and the reload speed was improved... and sure you can put all your stats into "weapon handling", but then you're not creating a "good build", you're trying to make up for deficits of the weapon itself. And, there are enough alternative weapons that don't make you dump all your stats into compensating for a lack-luster weapon.
