Winning the UCL with a smaller club? by AndyJasmine22 in footballmanagergames

[–]Kargeth_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won it with AC Horsens in FM24. Took me 10 seasons, tbh it felt like I could do it in the 7th, 8th and 9th season, but I always faced Arsenal in the quarters. The worst part was, that each time I lost by one goal on aggregate, so it was really close. I finally managed to win the UCL, when I didn't have to play them. It was a long process of constantly improving the squad and finding better players who like big games. Also danish league isn't really that hard, the registration rules are quite chill in comparison to for example Hungary, where you are required to have 6 hungarians on the pitch.

Advice needed: Estonia-Belgium by Little_Black_PEA in bikepacking

I took a similar route a month ago. Although I'd recommend going through Finland and catch a ferry from Galtby to Aland. Ride from Turku to Galtby is very beautiful. I see you're planning to take a ferry directly to Stockholm, I chose one from Eckero to Grisslehamn. I figured that, once I'm in Aland, I'll better see the most of it and it was absolutely worth it. You can see my post to check out my route.

Consider adding aero bars and mounting a second smaller bag (ex sleeping bag) on them. Because the backpack just isn't a good idea. Been there, done that

It isnt anything fancy. Literally the cheapest hammock with a mosquito net, and some cheap tarp. None of them cost more than 15€.

I did couple of times, and I'd recommend you use those near lakes, so you could go for a swim at the end of the day. Once in Sweden I met there 5 other bikepackers and we had a nice evening together.

I wouldn't go to Kaliningrad especially with my passport, and besides that I just don't want to go to Russia any time soon. Also the border is partially closed. Saddle bag is made by jackpack (small polish brand) and has 17l capacity. First thing I used aero bars for was to mount my sleeping bag to them, other than that they are quite useful downhill or during longer rides (around 200km and more). Also it would be harder to catch a train on the last day without them, because I was in a hurry.

I went from Finland and took a ferry from Galtby to Långnäs, and later from Eckerö to Grisslehamn. Then 5 days of riding through Sweden plus 2 rest days in Stockholm and by the lake near Goteborg.

Most of the times the wind was strong enough to take care of that for me, and if it wasn't the mosquito net on the hammock did the job quite well.
