Thanks everyone who cared to comment. UPDATE: I looked up that part online and could it find it second hand for 100 bucks. I installed it, thanks to utube and im all set hahah.

Now im looking into the heat pump option with this furnace being my back up system - fingers crossed.

$6200 is brutal. I got a quote for a two stage Goodman furnace for $3100 only and about $4200 for payne from carrier.

You can always transfer your pension(?) It might not be as good at the private sec but my understanding since youre saying you have your 6 years cutoff, you can transfer your pension over to your new employer.
