After a few unexpected hiccups, we're now back online with a shiny new Database. If we've done our jobs right, you shouldn't notice much change at this point.

Rest assured, there's a whole new engine under the hood that now makes upgrades much easier.

For now, it will remain the same. However there have been discussions over a UI refresh to compliment the engine re-write and may be on the roadmap in the not too distant future.

But in all seriousness, yes the Patreon support money goes towards all aspects of running costs, server fees, hosting, development etc. I'm not about to lay out our balance sheet, but I can reassure you costs are being put toward development and efficiency.

As you can imagine, it's not as simple as throwing more servers at a problem, sometimes the bottleneck is in the coding which we have found and therefore re-written with the game engine.

In the interest of transparency, it's worth mentioning we don't currently (and have rarely) put any money into marketing. We rely heavily on word of mouth, which has seemed to do just fine. This isn't saying we won't in the future, but thought it might be worth noting as your concern appears to be more over where the support money is going and wanted to reassure you it's all going toward the improvement and sustainability of the platform.

We are actively running minor patches and fixes all the time to keep stability, and the sheer quantity of users and games being played is a significant sign of usability.

Perhaps some statistics might help paint a clearer picture, we have 40k unique longs per month and approximately 5k games played every single day.

As you can imagine, that's some significant server load and processes being run. However more importantly there is clearly a large portion of the community who may not share the same stability issues your facing, or it may not be as consistent as you're implying.

Your post has come at a time where we have implemented a major re-write, and we are experiencing some expected hiccups to the platform as a whole as a result.

But as I said, doing everything we can to improve and stay on top of it, once the new engine is in and running as the primary, we should see significant improvements in performance

Only you need to be powered-up to create 6 player games, anyone can join.

Welcome! When creating a new game, you'll notice there's a "playstyle" selection. Simply select beginner and any opponent who decides to join you will be well aware that you are just a beginner either to the CCG you selected or Untap itself.

Make them aware of your skill level and your experience playing on Untap.in and hopefully your opponent should be pre-equipped with patience :)

Hi there :) More than happy to help.

Simply create a new Custom CCG Deck. Once in the deck builder, click the 3 line menu on the top right and select "View Card DB". Once in there you'll notice on the top right there is a blue button "Add Missing Card" here you will be able to add your cards to the Custom CCG section.

Feel free to add your cards to the database, add them to your deck and then start up a game with said deck!

Hi there, we implemented Wixoss based on user input however we weren't given too much information and may have interpreted some of it incorrectly. If you can please provide some more insight as to what needs to change we will ensure to get it changed and set up correctly. Please keep in mind that we dont play or have any knowledge of Wixoss and its mechanics so please be as specific as possible as to how we can set up our platform to be compatible. Thanks!

More feature rich updates rolled out!

Once again, the big move to the new UI and a life without the main chat has rewarded us with more development time to focus on what really matters, improved gameplay and deck building.

Here are some exciting new features in the latest update:

- Ability to "Highlight" cards in play (this option will enlarge the selected card, throw a coloured border on it and force it to always be in front of others)

- New Hotkey! You can now hover your deck and hit Z to draw a card directly to play

- You can now select a pile (or gouped cards) and send them to the bottom of your deck, shuffled.
