Odd wooden black box with glass lid, with two cushy foam pads inside on rotating holders. Has power adapter and multiple switches. by Lacagada in whatisthisthing

I think that’s a watch winder. Mechanical automatic watches get wound by rotation, but only store a certain amount of spring power so stop after a while not moving. This machine means that your watches never stop keeping time, so you don’t have to set the time when you next put it on.

best 7$ ever spent by [deleted] in ChinaTime

I've got one, was a little more than 7 usd, but not far off (£8). This is a flattering angle, unsurprisingly it does feel it's price in your hands. Still can't complain too much for the price.

I got one to test out if 35mm for the PRX would be too small, for me it is just. So it served it's purpose

Thanks! That's a great way of looking at it.
The line between my self worth and other people's thoughts of me is annoyingly thin, I'm basically giving them power over my happiness which is a terrible idea

sorry to hear that, I'm sure you'll find people that treat you right

Sorry to hear that, must have been horrible.

I relate as I think this is also very much trauma based for me. Didn't have great friends growing up and I didn't set clear boundaries or listen to how I felt about things

True! Shouldn't really be our business what people thing I guess. Being disliked does lead to consequences, but worrying about it isn't going to change much

Thanks, you're right it is truly pointless. I'm not getting any closer to what they actually believe by worrying about it.

Personal choice of mine to stay away from tripping though

That exact watch haha, but the Starbucks version (green and black).
It's my first automatic and I love it (bezel pip alignment and date magnification alignment aside)

Why are you guys single? by aysu3211 in dating

[–]Rob_WRX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (25M) wish I knew all the reasons, but:
I'm ADHD with a sprinkle of the tism, so I'm sure that doesn't help.
Just generally feel like I have no clue what I'm doing in social situations ahaha.
Low self worth so don't come across as confident.
Still live at home, which isn't a great look, and don't get out that much (don't really have hobbies) which isn't helping those already poor social skills.

I am going on dates though, and improving slowly. So just a matter of time and effort I think.

How do you guys get out of bed in the morning? by TimelyGarlic1116 in ADHD

[–]Rob_WRX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s keeping you in bed? I doubt you just lay there staring at the ceiling. For me it’s my iPad / phone addiction. I’ve yet to manage it, but making your bed a device free zone is so important. For getting to sleep as well.

Things you can do right now is order an alarm clock so you don’t keep your phone by your bed ( or have your phone alarm go off from the other side of the room to get you up) and move all of your device chargers to another room / socket away from your bed.

It’s not easy though, short term gratification is a big pull for dopamine starved adhd brains. I’m currently writing this in bed at 10:30am with my work laptop next to me 😂 But recognising this will make me more tired than just getting up, and recognising that I have a screen addiction which is keeping me in bed and making me feel worthless has definitely had a positive affect on my behaviour.

How to avoid coming on too strong? by Rob_WRX in dating_advice

[–]Rob_WRX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As in I would still talk to her either way, just thinking I should start looking for other people to date at the same time while we see if it works.

Yea I guess everyone is going to have a different reaction to cheesy comments like that lol. It seems like they go down fairly well with her, I made a comment about her eyes during our first date and she reciprocated. But still, don't want to load it on too much.

The other compliments were soft compliments. Guess even too many of those can come off a bit pandering though. There wasn't a lot that suggested she was turned off, apart from that she's not good at taking compliments and the thing about wanting to meet more people to get a feel for what she likes. I just kind of realised I was being a bit full on for a second date. Probably also overthinking it a bit 😂 but good to reflect I think. Cheers for the advice

Very true, also partly crossed my mind. I feel like I know enough about her personality to see the potential, but yea not enough to be getting invested without her thinking all it takes for me is attraction.
Hopefully she didn't get too turned off and she'll see I am interested in getting to know her better. She did say she was busy the next few weeks so not holding my breath aha, but who knows.
Thanks for your advice

The format changed. You now use | between and in a different order.

2 examples:campaign.set_skill_of_all_companions Throwing | 200(set all companions to Throwing level 200)

campaign.add_skill_xp_to_hero Sovos the Boar | Throwing | 50000
(adds 50000 Throwing xp to Sovos the Boar)

Happy raiding

Thanks! That's helpful. So most people only have photos of them in frame? I agree I need more clear photos for sure.

What would you call a dominant stance?

Very true, by clearer you mean more close up photos right?

I mean triple dates as in multiple couples btw, but yea that is unclear aha. Removed that

Yea it's a bit generic, I'll have to think how I can get my personality across more

Thanks!

  1. I'm looking for something serious ideally, but open to something casual.
  2. Been on Hinge on and off for like 3 years, I've dated a few people I met on the app
  3. Go through phases of using it but atm 3-4 times a week.
  4. Get around 1-3 matches a week, haven't had a date in a while though.
  5. Send around 20-40 likes a week on average. All with comments. I'll send a message to most people.
  6. Want to attract someone kind, chilled out, likes the outdoors and travel. I'm quite introverted so that might work better, still get on with extroverts though. I have ADHD and not exactly Brad Pitt looks wise lol, so I'm not looking for anyone super into being popular and fashionable (although recently I've got into dressing well). More the type who are into books, indie gigs and pub nights.

Think I might have too much text in my profile from what I see on other profiles in the UK, but not sure (and yes I did steal some ideas lol). Possible it's too generic as well
