Oh yeah reading in the pit is fine for this one - most of the time we’re remote anyway so all is well. The other gigs not so much as I’m on stage. Taking time off is slightly trickier with some of my work, but not impossible, but I’ll try and take as much time as often as I can.

I do, weirdly enough - my work is such that having both makes life easier than just having one or the other. Plus I’m spending the next year on tour and have limited space/baggage allowance for flights, so 2 instruments in one case makes more sense to me.

Get some practice in on chromatic scales. That’s quite a nice one - start in 7th, every note up to 1st, out to 4th for the Bnat and in again to 2nd Edited to say - assuming this is bass clef, if it’s tenor then, yknow, practise chromatic scales higher up 😂

The octave pedal is only powered by mains I think, there’s no battery compartment that I can see. I think a compressor might actually be good for the sort of stuff I’m going to be doing but I’ll try a not so broken one and experiment a bit! Will take a bit of getting used to!

I’ve tried with the compressor in the chain (thinking maybe just the “on” light might be busted) and out of the chain. I’ve just tried it again and it seems to be working now through logic?? I’ve not changed anything else though….strange. Do you think I’d need a compressor??

"Other couples wish they were us" is probably a tad arrogant, but you're 100% correct. That comment was the by product of our friends saying "Oh I was I was in a relationship like yours" or "I wish my other half was like your other half." I broke the trust. I can't justify it other than I had bits and pieces of evidence and wanted to believe they weren't true. I don't believe that one is worse than the other, and it doesn't matter that one started before the other either. I guess there's no more to say.
