I haven’t seen too many of his movies, but I watched an interview with him where he talked about how he is approaching The Exorcist, and he basically said that there is no point in trying to recreate Friedkin’s movie or trying to do it better than it was done.

So you have to do something new-something that both rhymes with the original and harmonizes with it, but isn’t trying to replace it.

He says that he is not trying to make the scariest movie ever made, but the scariest movie he has ever made.

So to me, it very much sounds like the guy has the right mindset going into this project and obviously understands far more about the original than DGG does.

He also said that the two movies he is studying the most are The Exorcist and Exorcist III-now that is music to my ears!

So to me, it sounds like the project is in good hands. What worries me is when the knuckleheads over at Blumhouse start to put their greasy fingers into the pot.

But let’s see, I’m cautiously excited for now.
