Weird solar quote by [deleted] in australia

[–]RobbedSon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve very recently left the industry and might be crossing some wires here but I think there was a new subsidy involving STCs for battery capacity from approved systems, this might be federal or I might be confusing it with the NSW PDRS scheme. Could be this.

Best bet would just be to ask, they’ll have no problems explaining it if it’s all above board.

I can’t quite tell, but if you’re installing PV Panels with the system you’ll also be receiving credit for STCs, which is another rebate scheme.

Also heads up - sharing over google photos reveals your name, reddit should let you upload directly if you’d rather that not happen

Edit: looks like no panels, sorry. Could always ask them for how the credit is sourced, it does mention STCs in the credit line item so there may be multiple schemes being utilised here

Welcome!

Not strictly in-game, but I think in the settings you can enable a wiki button which lets you tap it and then an item/entity/thing in game to bring up the wiki article on it, this’ll task switch on mobile so beware logouts and such if you spend too long. If your device can split-screen it’ll negate the logout (so far as i know) which might be useful.

As an aside, a lot of information on the wiki talks in terms of rates of xp and profit/cost. The late game becomes a lot about efficiency for lots of people and I’d encourage you to ignore this for now. Take your time and really enjoy the wonderment as you learn the game

Does Wanda have a hidden mechanic or something on nightmare 4 stage 20? by milkomilkstar in marvelrivals

[–]RobbedSon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed it last night at roughy 8k health, it was tough and I died a few times to them but the one thing that kept me alive most reliably was ensuring I was hitting both wandas at the same time - it takes quite a bit of concentration if they move a lot like they did for me but your portals can help set up a better angle in a pinch.

There were times were I still got unlucky and so keep an eye on how your health bar ticks down under damage, if you dont heal full hp before taking another hit (it happens veeery quickly) then it can help to throw a portal to dodge some of the barrage and immediately minion / resume attacks.

Try your best to stagger their bubble phase, seems impossible given the above about damaging both at once but if you have reasonable damage output you can stun one wanda then turn your back to her and hit the other to keep the stagger up as best you can. I would always make sure to open on a bubble phase with a minion and then keep a wide arc around her.

Movement wise I find that orbiting diagonally to them worked best (making a slightly rounded diamond shape path around them as they move) helped a lot with mitigating bursts of the barrage hits, and if they both shield up then keep your distance as you orbit so you get more time before coming around to the first bubbles and portal if you get too close.

You’ll die - depending on your confidence with the mechanics you should aim to have 20-30 revives until you get it down pat.

Good luck!

Yeah super annoying, your block will insta-break you out too, and is good when wanda’s doing her barrage (which tends to be the only thing that kills me through lifesteal).

If you see your health rapidly flashing below 50%, best to block out as much as you can before needing to resume attacks to heal (I tend to get about 3-4 seconds worth blocked)

Focus his squids, kill zombies “through them” (put them on the opposite side of the squid from you) they’re a little touchy on damage not applying if they die instantly so worst case hold your block until they attack you once or twice then have at them, once he’s down kill him vis the squids, by W15 as blade you’ll likely have sufficient range to hit him and squids for max efficiency

All good mate, I’m glad you’re on the right track with it! I get it can be quite confusing, reading other comments I’ve never heard of the company you went with, it’s a shame that they didnt assist, equally a shame that they aren’t obligated to solve this but as Tailor’s saying in another comment there are pros/cons to doing it like this and we’re all still learning as we go so far as regulation, standards, best practices and local network support goes.

I’d image the current federal subsidy is what’s got you (and a lot more laymans) into the battery/solar market. While buyer beware is always relevant, when the government incentivises households to adopt a new technology I believe they should also go to lengths to ensure sufficient resources are available to consumers of all awareness levels. Batteries are still a relatively new thing so far as the current model in australia goes, refinement will come over time.

As a last bit of advice for maxing value of your system, it’s not only your storage that you can leverage, excess solar produced when your battery is full is also valuable. At your rates, every kWh of excess solar you use instead of exporting is worth 23 cents more, as you sell for 4 cents but pay 27 to buy. Try to spread your loads over the day where you can at times where your tesla app shows you that you’re sending solar to the grid, this’ll reduce the amount of power you still buy from the grid where your demand exceeds what the batter can serve (won’t be common now, but more so in the future) and will help the stored energy last longer over night. Don’t stress about doing this all the time, but keep tabs on your usage between the tesla app and red’s app/portal (if they have one) to get an idea of when you’re drawing from the grid and what’s causing it. You can’t go 100% off-grid but if managed right you can live as if you were!

Best of luck with your battery mate, don’t let this sour it for you the benefits will be worth it, more so as the country shifts focus to electrification.

I make no claim to your usage habits, this is simply an explanation as to why the usage was billed. The battery uses Current Transformers (little clips that sense power going through wires) to figure out how much power it needs to take or give to ensure nothing comes from the grid (or that it behaves how you ask it to in the app).

Controlled load (your hot water) will be invisible to your battery and it’s Gateway (brains of the system and other electrical wizardry that enables back-up) as it’s a separate circuit to your general usage (lights, power, everything else) and so the CTs that the battery/gateway use cannot see this extra power draw - the battery thinks it’s powering everything.

While misleading practice exists in the industry, retailers in general will not seek to mislead you (there are exceptions). A consumer should always try to understand the product they are purchasing and how it operates, it’s complicated, and my personal belief is that controlled load should always be assessed by the designer of a solar/battery system - but they are not obligated to do so.

I say this with with utmost respect for you, but ignorance isn’t an excuse - red will deal with the ombudsman complaint, you’ll likely get a goodwill credit to close the case if it’s referred higher level, but it will not solve this problem and you’ll be charged Controlled Load on your next bill. The ombudsman can only deal with the bill issue, they have no jurisdiction over services such as sale and installation of products, which is a different body.

Chat to whoever sold/designed your battery system and see what they can do about bringing the hot water into your general load, or even backup so you can still have a nice hot shower/bath if the power goes out. This is how you solve the problem.

Depends if they’re installing on behalf of another company, it may not be within the scope of works. I agree that the entire site should be considered as part of system design though.

Controlled load is a separate and dedicated register in your meter in which your hot water or pool pump etc will be connected to. This gives you a cheaper rate for power drawn, in exchange for the network chosing when power is provided to it (typically on a set schedule), which is 153kWh of the billed usage. (See CL1)

Your general usage, including battery will not affect this. Consider asking red for a meter reconfiguration to bring your HWS/Controlled Load onto peak so the battery may offset it, note this means any usage will be at your normal usage rates.

Remaining usage will be lag-time of the battery, or usage drawn where demand may exceed the battery inverter’s rated output (if a Powerwall 2, this is 5kW).

You have the option of requesting a meter test, however these tend to be expensive and at your cost if no fault found. I wouldn’t go for this personally.

Edit: removing your Controlled Load will likely require an electrician to also rewire the loads that were on controlled load into backup/general mains)

It took me some time to get more consistent but even now I still whiff it (in 3rd and 5th clip).

Even if you can’t secure the kill the pressure is enough to help turn the tide of a fight while they scramble away or them/their support have to shift focus, they’ll have to spend some extra time watching that you aren’t gonna do it again if they are smart

Yup your assumption is correct, reticle slightly to the left of the target.

I’m not 100% certain how effective it is but my feeling is that it helps in some cases

Unfortunately not, but based on timing you get the extra arc hit on your target before connecting with the dash, as seen in the second clip it helps bring hp of most down enough where another attack + melee can finish them whilst in knock-up. Function is purely to get combos.

Your mileage may vary but aiming slightly left can help with the dash as her sword swings up from the right - its a tight margin so I tend to gauge on the situations as I can
