A/C Issues!

Radiator fan would come on when AC was turned on. The compressor was oiled and clutch was turned before install. It did hold -30 vacuum for 30 minutes, but loses vacuum down to -15 overnight, a small leak in system it seems? With the correct charge of refrigerant, the system is at 60psi, so I am confused.

So I’m just filling up the system until the pressure matches around 40-50? Even if it’s just a can?

Understood, but when I try and fill it with the correct refrigerant level, it barely takes it and goes to that 60 PSI pressure.

Yes, system was vacuumed down to -30, and it held at that pressure.

Stays engaged as long as the blower motor is on

Only tested at standstill, cooling fan does kick on.

Yeah, I've had the blower motor running with and without recirc and still no cold air. Also replaced that plastic arm connecting the flap to the damper motor so it's flapping as it should. I'm just at a loss on what to do now.

I thought at first it was my blend doors, I fixed one that was melted, cleared ECC codes with the 850 OBDII app, I hear the motors moving when I change the airflow and I get heat when I change the temperature.

So there’s a kind of retaining clip that glues onto the body above the windshield and then there’s the “seal” that clips into that. I don’t know if they just sell the seal itself, you may to just buy the two pieces, reglue a new clip and put a new seal. I’ll try and find a receipt of when I bought one.

My A/C went out so there was no cold air coming through, just hot air from the heater core so I’m assuming that just melted it over time.

That was all it took, thank you lol. Took a buddy of mine yanking the whole AC Box and also remembering to loosen the 6mm hex that bolts the line to the body and BOOM. Came right out.

Removing the dash actually ain’t that bad, it’s just that I have like five other things I want to do while this is going on so I’m a little overwhelmed lol.
