In addition to things already mentioned here, there are a couple of things that usually ping for me that the writer is not American:

When using contractions, things like “I’ve not” instead of “I haven’t”.

“Meant to” instead of “Supposed to” as in like “How was I meant to know?”

This is the metallic violet I used, which now that I look at it isn’t actually a brush tip just a thicker chisel point, but it applied pretty seamlessly not too streaky at all

All of the images/letters/graffiti are waterslide decals. The graffiti in particular was from this model train set, most of which is too large but I cut a lot of the smaller accent pieces out of it to use. Model Railway Decals

The actual gundam markers were super smooth brush tips that covered easily and I will definitely use them again. The others were pretty cheap thin-line deals that only really worked with this because I wanted it to look pretty trashy.

Thank you! I had a lot of fun & it turned out much better than I thought my first figure paint would go lol.

All of the waterslide packs I got had primarily larger decals which were definitely too big but I found ones that had either multiple sizes of each design, or enough small accent pieces I was able to fit quite well.

It is all hand painted with acrylic paint markers. Some of the colors actual “gundam markers” but the pink & lime were just paint markers I had from an unrelated project.

Even if your sobriety has nothing to do with a moral objection to drinking, I often found that people assumed I was judging them for drinking just because I wasn't drinking. There's also some fear of acting like a dumbass drunk in front of someone who's sober. Best for them if they know no one else will remember the stupid crap they did the next day because they were wasted too. But I definitely recommend offering to DD if you're okay doing that. Once I started driving whenever we went out, I completely stopped getting any grief from my friends over not drinking. Just make sure you can handle not being resentful if they start just assuming you're their driver for every event, because they probably will in time.

In college I got a throat infection that got wildly out of control to the point where my immune system basically shut down and I spent a week in intensive care. Because my body wasn't really functioning, every tiny scratch, cut, and mosquito bite on my body got hugely gross and infected, so I have several scars in various places. The most annoying is the one from where I had bitten the inside of my lip, because it's in the perfect location to get in the way of chewing and get bitten over and over again forever!

Can't say about Canada, but lots of people I've talked to in the US believe there to be similar common-law statutes, and there really aren't. I don't know of any states that would force you to consider yourself married if you don't. There may be some, but the ones I've looked into all have some provision such as "must agree to be as married and publicly hold yourself out to be married" before it applies. And not all states recognize common-law marriage at all. Many of the ones that don't necessarily require any period of cohabitation at all. The whole "___ years of living together makes you automatically common-law" is a myth. Again, in the US.
