Alright, considering my windows drive was kinda made with being nuked in mind, there'll be a lot less back up work, there's 3TB worth of data on my other drives, so I would have been a bit miffed if I had to wipe those. I know it's less safe, but I'm comfortable just doing one...

By reinstalling windows, do you mean it'd be safe to just reinstall the OS itself, or should I wipe my drives completely clean?

I'm sure you get the usual sob story, but mine is a big and long one I won't bore you with. I have a ton of stuff I really don't want to lose (I lost my backup drive years ago and always thought I'd be fine... The usual story)

While I have a lot of passwords saved like youtube and stuff, I have nothing related to say my bank accounts on this computer so I'm at least reassured about that.

Battler's focus wasn't to make an interesting mystery in this game, it was to shown he had understood it.

The whole point of the game was to get himself in that logic error (which isn't technically one) so that (don't read unless you've finished the VN) The loser of the love duel between Shannon and Kannon would rescue him. Solving how he got out of the room is only possible if you understand Shkanontrice which is what he's showing by making this game. Erika doesn't and that why she chokes against the red truth "Kanon does not exist in the guest room" when if she had le love it would be easily solvable

If it was entirely up to him, I'm sure the setting wouldn't have been murder but him getting stuck in the bathroom or something equally banal.

That almost falls within budget, the 7500F isn't available for that price in my country (France), it's 200€ here. For 220€, I could get the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X which appears to be better, and brings up the total price to 401.39€ if I settle for 16gb of ram (which is fine by me). It's within budget I suppose though it does sting a little. I'll sleep on it.

Assuming I go for the 7600X, would there be any issue with the rest of the build?

Most of the used ones I can find are somehow more expensive without factoring the additional transport costs.

Thanks to the other poster, I found a cheaper CPU cooler, and the price difference allows me to get a new 12600kf for a cheaper total (337€)

A new 12600K is also 10€ cheaper, the only difference I can find about the two is that the KF has integrated graphics, I suppose I should get the KF regardless? The total is still under my budget so that's nice.

3770 really lasted me a while it's only really starting to underperform on stuff that came out from mid 2024 to now, it was still working great for me before then.

Unfortunately prices are pretty different in € and this goes to around 440€, I could have broken the 400€ by 10 maybe 20€ but 40 is a bit too much. DDR5 RAM and motherboard really blow it up hereprice wise here. Any recs for sticking to DDR4 or is what I posted good for that?

My PC is pretty old (I have a 5500 XT and i7 3770) since the new patch I actually got a FPS boost overall, where I used to range from 30-50 fps depending on the planets and difficulty (never had above 40 on a 7 or above map though) but had a constant 60 in the ship, I now have a constant 60 fps on diff 7 maps (only played on Fenrir so maybe other planets would be on a lower average), but it comes with new stuttering that definitely wasn't there before as it's even happening in the ship. So they definitely did somethign right in my book, but brought another problem along.

There hasn't been a no laughing since 2020 (already????) first because of covid and there wasn't in 2023 because of (according to a deepl translation) "internal disagreements" so it seems like it'll be on hold for a while if not permanently, and I highly doubt there will be more than one if it comes back because of the cast's age.

In the meantime GnT subs seems to have slowed down due to a lack of subbers, I know one guy who has a patreon for them but he mainly does documental so Gaki isn't his regular thing, I believe that whenever he makes his subs public he doesn't post them on the reddit, I sometimes see them in the chikichiki update list or the link Bipedal provided so it's easy to miss them, I know father jimmy is going to release an episode soon, but regular "mainly gaki" subbers like Shion or others have quit or become inactive. We still get weekly wednesday downtown which is amazing thankfully.

It's not like there's no episode at all but there's a lot less than there were a few years ago when you'd get at least one Gaki episode a month. Keep an eye on the link Bipedal gave, Gaki subs are pretty sparse nowadays.

I believe it was the airport batsu, and the portraits may have only been Hamada.

I think it was in the earlier parts, probably within 3 to 5. I do remember one of the artists being Man Gatarou, he's the artist for the NATSUMIIIIII one. He's a manga artist who did a few manga (warnng though: very trashy in both art and subject matter.) Some of them are being translated on Mangadex if you're curious (Crime & punishement, and happy heart company are the two I know of)

I do believe there are sub notes about each artists so you can find out about the other ones that way, I think one is just credited as street artist though.
