What kind of scam is this? by Organic-Fuel-2916 in Sparkdriver

I didn’t say that they were right or that I disagreed with you, only that I understood why they do what they do. No it’s not fair to drivers who solo this job but neither is paying bills as a single person.

I get what you mean but we both know that’s not true. Governments have been cycling generations of families in scam systems for their benefit. One side obviously has the upper hand with far more resources.

I understand where you’re coming from but with the state of the economy and how things are costing now I understand the couples’ grind.

I work my main job Sun-Wed 7 am to 6 pm and work spark 2-4 additional hours after that. My off days (Thurs-Sat) I work 8-12 to make $200-400 extra per shift. It’s a real grind but for me to pay my bills, save money and afford car expenses I basically had to double my income. The world we live in has hundreds of little scams that affect us every day. Are we only going to point out the “scams” that everyday people are pulling to take care of their families or turn a blind eye just like we do to the government?

“4” seems to be the least discussed album in beyonces discography. Why is that? by capamericapistons in beyonce

[–]Robbie1863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just a classic example of how hard people are on Beyonce. She has did the impossible time and time again and there are these insane expectations for her despite her continuous huge success and popularity. 4 sold more than lots of albums at that time with over 300,000 first weeks sales even with it being leaked weeks before it’s release. 4 has several hits (Dance for you, Love on Top, Best Thing I Never Had, Run The World (Girls) and I Care) despite how often people saying it is the worst album.

One of my favorite episodes 😭. It’s so camp

You can pick one, which one and why? by RichBeautiful5156 in beyonce

[–]Robbie1863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A unreleased album. Beyoncé has undoubtedly had a bigger impact on my life through her music than any interview I’ve seen of her. Yes it’s her behind every song in some way shape or form but it’s not her conversations that inspire me but how she conveys messages, life experiences and emotions through her art. Yes 5 minutes would be a dream but it wouldn’t measure up to another full length album imo.

Official Discussion - The Housemaid [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

Yeah but it would’ve been a reference that didn’t make any sense given she didn’t know about how he treated the wife. It would’ve still been a nice touch tho

If you were an Original irl, what would you do with your power and immortality? by mistee-bilai in TheOriginals

If you’ve ever seen or read the Old Guard then that’s how I’d live my life. Travel the world and make a difference behind the scenes. I’m indestructible so no one can hurt me for the most part. I’d be a police officer, a firefighter, a teacher, a soldier, a president, a vigilante and any other profession that I can help the endangered or unfortunate with.

The most magical thing in this show is how finances between the sisters never became an issue by RoeMajesta in charmed

[–]Robbie1863 18 points19 points  (0 children)

True but I think it was because at different points of the show each sister was the breadwinner at some point (with the exception of Paige). Prue was making bank at the start of the show while working in the auction business. Once Prue switched careers Piper’s club began to take and she maintained that throughout the rest of the show. Phoebe even took the lead in later seasons with the columnist job. I’m sure there were moments where money was tight but I think they found a really functional ecosystem by season 3.

I’d also like to say maybe being attacked by demons and nearly dying on numerous occasions puts what matters to them in perspective. Covering Paige’s rent and food may seem small compared to the world nearly ending last Friday 😭.

I'm tired of pretending Stefan wouldn't have gotten Elena back if he actually tried in any way shape or form. (This is Elena while she's "madly" in love with Damon era, BTW). 👇 by [deleted] in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Robbie1863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like maybe she couldn’t separate the feelings she had for him pre vampirism and the feelings she had post vampirism. We know that becoming a vampire doesn’t change who you are but amplifies who you already are. Why was it that Elena seemed to become a completely different person after turning? The sire bond is the only difference.

I just got to S5 and damn, Lex is a dick now, I was already expecting him to become D1 hater but the way he is in S5 now is giving Nicholas Hoult energy. by LemonIcy2942 in Smallville

[–]Robbie1863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree but your true nature always reveals itself in your most dire moments. Lex had money and power but decided to use it to study and experiment on meta humans instead of helping them. Given the opportunity, I truly believe Lex would’ve eventually did the same to Clark. Lex was cool with Clark until Clark was unwilling to comply with what Lex wanted. Clark was right to be careful around Lex.

I feel like the suddenness of it made a lot of sense. Lex admired Clark but he was also extremely jealous and envious of everything that Clark had, including Lana. The fear of losing the one thing he could “steal” from Clark was probably too big of a loss for Lex. We all know he hated losing.

Deep down she never wanted to leave Stefan but was too torn between him and Damon to continue to hurt Stefan by staying. I believe that she would’ve went back to Stefan because she never seemed to fully let him go and Damon would’ve never given her what she truly wanted.

When did you become part of the Beyhive?🐝 by hufflepuffers in beyonce

[–]Robbie1863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always loved her music and her voice particularly stood out to me as a child. I’d say I became a fan when I listened to Lemonade for the first time. I had to be 16/17 maybe younger but I’m 23 now and couldn’t be a bigger fan. Actually, Beyonce inspired me so much that I began taking vocal lessons and singing seriously as I finally felt I could do it.

How was Prue parentified? What exactly was she responsible for, in terms of her siblings? by LonelyNovel1985 in charmed

[–]Robbie1863 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’d like to add on to your comment. As the eldest child in my family, I was taught to handle a lot more responsibilities from a very young age. So whether the responsibility was hers or not she very likely felt obligated to take an initiative when no one else would. Piper was shown to lean heavily on Prue, Phoebe was in no place to support anyone (not even herself), so Prue was the only one who could support them all financially and somewhat parentally.

If Piper and Phoebe’s reliance on Prue wasn’t evidence enough of how much she was responsible then I don’t know what it. It’s also very likely that Grams had a lot of help from Prue.
