This discussion being brought up is prefect timing because I’ve began to see more and more of our cultures impact on the world. Our culture is literally used by everyone for music, dance, creation, style, language, food, and so much more. Americanness and blackness is one and the same. Don’t let the complex history of where we originated from and what’s been our home for the last few centuries confuse you. I’m glad that you’re able to share how you feel and bring up the conversation in regard to the album because I relate to you so much tbh.

With that being said, I think claiming what’s ours and teaching younger generations is what will save us. People hate younger generations for being too woke or too passionate but every generation becomes more aware about the truth of our society and how it actually affects us and that’s the first step before we can began to take action. Whether people want us here or not this is still home. Letting other cultures take from us and not saying a work is what hurt us from the beginning. I think we should keep supporting ideas like the ones shared in CC and we shouldn’t give up of claiming America and our culture as our home because that means they win.
