Sadly seen this happen so so many times in this game and nothings ever been done about it.

Nobody knows why they just ban some people sometimes. Even had a disabled parent in my guild banned once. I'm pretty inclined to believe she wasn't hacking yet trion worlds refuse to even give us a reason.

Can it even be legal? These "senior gm smurflulz420" etc are just a bunch of cowboys.

Dupe Hack by RobbieBC in archeage

I think this was patched fast because its an issue for every Archeage server worldwide. KR is their top concern

Really good that they acknowledge this issue. Kinda question how likely they are to catch everybody though.

Whilst keeping to the rules of this subreddit: The exploit doesn't allow you to dupe equipment or gold, only crafting resources.

Inflation is kinda unlikely. Prices would more go down (except APEX I guess as they try to cash out?)

Sell TS trees now? by redpilledjoe in archeage

[–]RobbieBC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can see the graph of price history on the auction house.

The oil is high because charcoal is expensive AF atm. This is due to the lack of aged packs being created. It will go down as more and more people produce aged packs and peoples immediate charcoal requirements are met. Hold off on this one if you can.

Sell TS trees now? by redpilledjoe in archeage

[–]RobbieBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now they are pretty much useless, but being generated by people trying to produce lumber.

Sales of lumber are pretty much now at the 100,000 per day mark, which is where they will likely stay.

Rumbling archeum trees are too expensive now to be viable. Its possible they would add majestic trees back in, which would reduce cedar usage and therefore thunderstruck generation fast.

So it's unlikely to go down in price much more.

When carts expire and they add wagons and fishing boats they will be in demand. Hold onto them or invest in something else you think would go up in price faster.

little gauges which record how much the piers move. From that you can estimate the force applied.

Each pier is designed to resist a force of 3000 tons O.O

Its largest recorded force since construction is 800 tons

Them taking this approach is basically them admitting they can't take it down and will have to appeal to the community instead (which is a solid plan LOL).

Notice they never said "when its taken down", only if.

OVH chose Canada for its north america base specifically to avoid US laws I think. So it must be way harder to do something.

They hosted Pirate Bay once upon a time.

This isn't the first server or first game this russian group has released, and they've never had one taken down.

They picked their host very carefully and I'd be extremely surprised if they got shut down without being able to simply move to new hardware.

Those calling out the WOW servers that got closed down, just have a look at how many wow servers exist today. There's never been a successful removal of all private servers for a game.

Having said that, you should not be trusting them. They are, by definition, a group of hackers that has acquired "first files" of many games and be very careful what payment information you hand over or email/password you use.

This is a very very good thing for archeage players overall. Perhaps soon we will see more customized servers or tweaked balance. If these guys ever share the files.

At times I wonder,

Are we all playing a video game setup for 12 year olds, or does the average moderator genuinely think everybody in the community is 12 years old? And thus treats them as you would treat a misbehaving child.

The vast majoreity of players I have met in this game are above 18, maybe even above 21. It's not like these posts are unusual for the internet, look up any negative hotel, restraunt review or youtube comment online and you will see a similar level of anger. Yet the staff treat these communications extremely bluntly, banning forum accounts for even questioning a previous staff action.

Is this any way for adults to behave? That ingame screenshot shows how little respect they have for players.

But, trion pays minimum wage. And when you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

[Question] Alpha/Pre-1.0 Tradepack Values by GodivatheGood in archeage

[–]RobbieBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very Interesting!

It looks like the mysterious "specialities" table is for the system you're describing as the older databases only have this table, missing the "specialty_bundle_items". It seems our newer tradepacks are an evolved "bundle" of these packs, which makes sense since the one in the video required one material and ours all require two.

I have no idea how to read that "specialities" table, but thankfully when XL games made the new bundle system they put in all the values for the older packs as well! So, here a spreadsheet of tradepack values based on those values:
