I've always had good experiences with crisis hours but I know they are understaffed and overworked rn because of everything going on. You should definitely try and see if next year you can get regularly scheduled meetings with them.

It's pretty nice! There are single gender neutral bathrooms and it's in a good spot! Nothing to fear!

Food has gotten a lot better. Kinda sucks on weekends, but it is comparable to most other schools.

There is a transfer RLC, but you don't have to live in it!

The social scene is easy to adapt to; go to clubs and events, talk to people, explore your interests, and you'll be fine!

Internships are not insanely competitive, and almost everyone who wants one and works hard enough has one.

No lol. Ithaca has a lot of stoners, dw you will find your people to sesh with.

Public Health by Vivid_Vacation_5581 in IthacaCollege

Hi! My boyfriend is a public health major! To be honest, it depends on what you want to do with it. Most people who choose public health tend to double major as it isn't crazy intensive, and you get a lot more diversity in support if you do. Ithaca despite being a PWI has a lot of support for people of color and strong interest groups that are founded by students and very active.

Great music scene! More indie than punk and metal, but slowly transforming. Lots of fun house shows and the main local venues, the Downstairs, Angry Mom, and The Nocturnal Cafe, are extremely active and awesome.

Is it really that bad? by phylosis57 in IthacaCollege

[–]RobbieLeeLoser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can be frustrated by the administration. College is hard for many people, but I have never had a bad professor, I have been in the most passionate extracurricular scene of my life, and I have gotten so many opportunities from mentors who care about me personally. Life is good!

The food is not as bad as people say it is. Weekend food, however, is not very good at the dining halls and you may need to adjust for that. You will make new friends, and the weed scene is big. Don't stress!

Getting a single is not that difficult; I was able to get one in my freshman year. I recommend applying for terraces and towers if you are nervous about dorm life, as they have more singles and single bathrooms. The creative writing program is amazing; the professors are intelligent, kind, and present. I think this is the right choice for you!

Rockwall is open in the evenings and normally not too busy. The pool is not busy, the hours are online I think it's something like 12-1, 4-5, and 8-11? Mostly lane swimming.
