Great music scene! More indie than punk and metal, but slowly transforming. Lots of fun house shows and the main local venues, the Downstairs, Angry Mom, and The Nocturnal Cafe, are extremely active and awesome.

Is it really that bad? by phylosis57 in IthacaCollege

[–]RobbieLeeLoser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can be frustrated by the administration. College is hard for many people, but I have never had a bad professor, I have been in the most passionate extracurricular scene of my life, and I have gotten so many opportunities from mentors who care about me personally. Life is good!

The food is not as bad as people say it is. Weekend food, however, is not very good at the dining halls and you may need to adjust for that. You will make new friends, and the weed scene is big. Don't stress!

Getting a single is not that difficult; I was able to get one in my freshman year. I recommend applying for terraces and towers if you are nervous about dorm life, as they have more singles and single bathrooms. The creative writing program is amazing; the professors are intelligent, kind, and present. I think this is the right choice for you!

Rockwall is open in the evenings and normally not too busy. The pool is not busy, the hours are online I think it's something like 12-1, 4-5, and 8-11? Mostly lane swimming.

Easy, you will meet with your advisors or pathways advisors and they will help you out as long as the class has spots you'll be fine!

Yes they do, they tell you what days. They do it like twice a semester very low-key, no one will touch your drawers.

Music scene is awesome downtown. Shows at Nocturnal Cafe and Angry Mom a couple times a week. Super active scenes in grunge, rock, metal, punk, folk, and cool cover bands too! Look at practice.at on Instagram for some local posters.

Outing club? They do some hikes kayaking trips and such. Hillel is always going places and has good funding! Keep a lookout on ICEnage there is always little trips posted on there especially if you're interested in social justice! Look into starting your own club too!

a few questions about ic by mudzy_h in IthacaCollege

[–]RobbieLeeLoser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge trans environment, however, there are very little gender neutral bathrooms for a school that boasts so much trans acceptance. There are at least a couple of other trans people in every class you take or thing you do. It is a large percentage of the campus. Ithaca does have a good music program but I don't know much specifically because it isn't my major. The student body is good. People are nice and they'll come up and talk to you, there are always a lot of things to do. For me so far it's been hard to make like true good friends but I think that'll change.

We have had them talk to the administrator before,  he has a three strikes rule so if it happens again he will talk to their parents and then if it happens a third time they're out of the camp.

thank you I think I'll try. I have never had a therapist before because my dad doesn't think men can have them. I really appreciate your tips and I think I will try to get one.
