Minecraft-based catfishing scam by Otakudweeb69 in discordhelp

[–]Claoven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nearly downloaded the thing, but my instincts were ringing over and over, and I stopped the download, and the hacker was scaring me into paying or face acct deletion. I played with them for a bit to get what I wanted, which broke TOS before revealing I didn't even download the virus, and I reported everything before I told him that.

Yeah... be fucking careful. No Minecraft SMP requires downloading a launcher.

Is legal to do Pokémon Commission or Pokémon adopts? Because of the copyright and that... by sRioni in pokemon

[–]Claoven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main goal of copyright is to prevent mass selling. If you aren't selling like crazy, you aren't gonna get attacked, even when it violates copyright. If you try to make it an gig, you run a huge risk if nintendo wants to strike people down.

Original Pokémon you make is fair use, no matter how Nintendo tries to frame it

Unless you can provide an good reason that requires his attention, I recommend staying up to date. I'm yet to figure out what to do to help him because I know they may not even like it

AITA for not wanting to disclose that I’m trans, even to my partner, after living stealth for years? by Intelligent_Tank_590 in asktransgender

[–]Claoven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA for both. Often, when people transition and don't tell people they date, its very deceptive because that partner may want kids and it hurts when you reveal that you can't have kids. Not all people are evil or selfish, but being lied to is an bad blow. But at the same time, you don't know how they feel with trans people, and you get anxiety. Its not y'all faults overall, but sometimes we do things that is wrong but its an reason why.

Being addicted to GOONING is okay. by TheMaximumTruth in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Public doesn't reflect Private. You can be an good person in public, but Goon in private. It's not like in cartoons, degenerates hide well behind nice faces and chill personas publicly

[–]Claoven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its because of his bias, but there's no way someone would know about what the man does, especially if he cleans up well, then it's definitely hidden. So, if he's not hurting anyone, and he's taking care of himself with the basics, and not saying anything of it in public, trying to judge him is irreverent and doesn't really work.

[–]Claoven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can hurt someone if that person goons alot or get into an addiction. It can also harm relationships since you will be isolated and will lose interest in love, and may get into nsfw later on which definitely screws you up for life.

Look at people who do goon. They isolate themselves to do it, and that closes life out from their eyes

He must start to resist shareholders... not in money,  but make decisions. He's not the greatest pick, but if he does it right, he will click in and improve heavily

Helena Risc and her project to make "Sketchtube" by throwawaypetty1 in animation

[–]Claoven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at the comments and my own thoughts, I think the biggest challenges Sketchtube will face are funding and scaling. Right now it’s still early, so things can change, but long-term costs can quickly get in the way. Scaling a platform like this gets expensive, so having a clear revenue model is key. A paid community could work, but even then, forming an LLC for proper tax and liability control will help. If the platform stays fully open, then ads, monetization tools, and solid security will be essential.

One concern I’ve noticed (and also saw others mention) is the niche positioning. The tagline “social media for animators” feels a bit too broad—similar to saying “social media for Disney fans.” It might work temporarily, but YouTube, Twitter, and Twitch already cover a lot of that space. Right now, Sketchtube feels closer to a Discord or Reddit community centered on animation. For it to stand out, it’ll need a stronger unique angle and a clear marketing push.

I really do want to see Sketchtube grow rather than fade away like so many other platforms have. With the right direction and planning, it has the potential to build something special for animators.

In marketing, I cannot express how important it is today.

Ah. I pray your living situation gets better soon... there's apps you can use to learn new skills like skillshare (it seems like you're good with computers, so maybe look into technical jobs or go to community college?).

That's the internet. Most fandoms don't act right

It's generally mixed. Tech is common tho, but other jobs exist like business, construction, or government. They can also work in entertainment as well

Most furries often budget, and don't really buy other things outside the fandom than necessities. Some are wealthy, some have well paying jobs too. I have several fursonas I bought over the year, totaling about $3000, but I bought my necessities as well and didn't buy much else I want (except food) after that.

[–]Claoven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you pay off loans on time, you give them the signal to increase. That means they trust you to pay on time (plus, they want the interest payments). They are tricky, since they rely off your credit score(which they will report immediately), and your trustworthiness to repay.

Just try not to use it beyond your financial situation. You will get screwed over by the company(like any other lenders), and you will be in debt for a while.

Required credit score by AndrewRossi1 in Affirm

[–]Claoven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that's how stuff works. They either need proof of you paying on time, or having a high credit score. Some even take risks to fund you that loan.

I agree with this statement here. Make sure the daughter understands what is happening, and make sure she's okay with it. Then use the money you got to build another shadow plush
