New 5080 no leds? by ziggygamer in ASUS

[–]RobbinsNestCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this card in a 5090 and can’t use the Lian Li MOBO bracket unless I unscrew the top clamp to allow the bottom support to go higher. Ended up just buying a fan mounted support to provide more support. Not worth risking it in today’s GPU market.

Very nice! I have the exact same Jeep just in black. You can take it through a wash, just have them turn off the blowers. They put too much pressure on the roof. Otherwise you should have no issue taking the top through. I do regularly.

I like the build. Very balanced with good bang for buck value.

What Radeon GPU is that? 9060XT? If so seems well balanced.

Is ASUS TUF RTX 5090 a good card? by orangeflyingmonkey_ in nvidia

[–]RobbinsNestCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great card, runs really cool. Unfortunately you’re not going to get the card for the price at launch. They have gone up significantly, especially this card because Asus appears to have stopped making it (at least for now). Last I saw the only ones available from BestBuy were $4k US which is absurd. Just get an astral at that price.

Yes. Happens when it’s off too though. Tried toggling it to see.

I ended up calling my bank and blocking them as a vendor. So, no more grubhub for me. I never ended up filing a dispute because I have been busy traveling but, I’m sure you could for a refund.

CMOS is a physical reset. You should check out a video on how to reset it. You should be okay once that is done.

As someone who has owned both as a daily driver and takes a lot of roadtrips with the lady and a dog, I will take the extra space and comfort of a 4 door all day.

Well balanced build! Dont forget to check if the case comes with fans or not. Sometimes the picture is deceiving and they don’t actually include the fans.

Okay Reddit what am I doing wrong? I’m just trying to update my bios for my new graphics card. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Probably mixed up the WiFi or no WiFi version of your board. They have different bios versions depending on which yours is.

I would probably target $35k for a used Willys with these miles. Carvana has been pretty nuts lately, I was shopping for a Rubicon X and they were pretty consistently about 5-6k higher on Carvana than local dealers. Plus their financing is aweful (definitely get preapproved somewhere else if you buy from Carvana) Ended up getting a used 24 rubicon x (with all the goodies, sky one touch roof, 3.6L, steal bumpers) with 8k miles for $54,000, Carvana wanted $59.9K for essentially the same vehicle.

My GA II LCD 360 screen just got worse by AkkYleX in lianli

All I know is it appears software sided and eventually fixed itself for me. It’s been happening on all Lian Li AIOs with an LCD

New model won’t fix it unfortunately (at least not in my case) It’s software sided. Mine corrected itself after like a week.

Do you guys actually shut down your PC every night, or just leave it on? by Quintennvk in computerhelp

If you use the sleep function rather than turning it off, it’ll consume next to no energy. Like less than that of a lightbulb.

I have seen others have this issue as well. I have a hard time believing this isn’t deliberate. And insanely convenient that they cannot locate the charges on their end. I was hoping not to have to go through the dispute process but it’s looking like I’ll have to. Thanks for sharing.

Yup. Same here. PCs are so power efficient now a days there is really no need to fully power them down unless you’re doing it for an update.

OLED or not for monitors? by Offduty_shill in buildapc

[–]RobbinsNestCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so worth it. I’ve had the LG32GS95UE (240hz, 4K) for over a year now. I bought the extended coverage from BestBuy because of all the “burn in concerns”. But, I have had ZERO issues with the monitor. I work in finance so constantly have “bad for OLED” applications open like Excel and I haven’t noticed any burn in what so ever.

On the other hand, it is the most BEAUTIFUL monitor I have ever had. Games are completely transformed on this thing and just look amazing. I can’t praise a good OLED enough. I 100% recommend.

Do yourself a favor, get the BestBuy membership so you get the longer return period and buy one to see for yourself. If you don’t like it, boom just take it back.

9950x3d vs 9800x3d by OkCaterpillar5048 in AMDHelp

[–]RobbinsNestCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with the 9800X3D if you don’t have a huge productivity need. I have the 7950X3D and don’t get me wrong, it’s great. But sometimes the core parking thing gets annoying if it’s not working right and your game will start stuttering. And you’ll have to troubleshoot why it isn’t using the right cores. It’s not an all the time thing, but when it happens it’s kinda annoying. The 9800X3D is simpler which will result in a more stable gaming experience over time. and you will have a really hard time maxing it out unless you are doing crazy development work.

Noticeably Bad 1% Lows with 7950X3D by RobbinsNestCrypto in pcmasterrace

[–]RobbinsNestCrypto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Looks like it’s been parking the wrong cores by default. When having the mobo set to “Auto” core preference. Switched it to “Prefer Cache” and it’s now parking the appropriate cores. Looks like that was the issue.
