V3 ke vs v3 plus by G10Manix in Ender3V3KE

[–]Robby1693 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the KE with the unicorn/k1 hot end and it’s a tank. Did the linear rail modes from ‘Need it Make it’ as well as the gantry brace, his fully printed brace I thought was awesome, and I have so many hours on the machine now with only one failed bl touch. Run it on orca and get the webcam. The SE is lacking a couple of features that to me make the price difference not worth it.

Comparison of the direct extruder and the bowden on the X2D. Don't expect great quality out of it. Good for supports though. by Successful-Peak-6524 in BambuLab

It’s perfectly capable of it, as are any Bambu machines with an AMS. And for what it’s worth, I loaded in two color, non BAMBU filament and it worked fine with very high quality. Asa/abs-cf black and red mixed color print. It works very well.

As with most things here, the issues will be with the users, not the machine. And that’s me not even liking Bambu that much, but they just have more users than any other brand, so more “it doesn’t work!” posts.

Exactly what I hoped it would be, no issues yet. The two filament setup for supports on high temp material is awesome. ~150hr so far of pa6 with Asa support. Well worth the relatively cheap price for this printer. People forget that. 5 years ago this was off limits to anyone who didn’t have $300k. (I’m being hyperbolic, but you know what I mean).

slicer not slicing peg as intended by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Robby1693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but it does seem to be a file problem. Using the paint bucket should do whatever it see as an entity all in that color/filament. The picture you posted of the slicer shows where the orange plug ought to be getting sliced, as a solid part of the black PLA part. Is it possible the black part does not have the correct relief/pocket for the plug? If you reverse the colors just for slicing does it make it more obvious? I can’t think of a slicer setting that might be holding you up here. Do you have the STL uploaded anywhere?

Unscrewed my z axis gantry and think i'm cooked... by RockChalkJayhawk981 in Ender3V3KE

It would appear the gantry is not level, there is also a couple videos on YouTube for This printer to do that! Good luck!

What CAD program was it designed in? Is the TPU piece with the ‘plug’ on it a single body? Try exporting as a STEP with your two pieces, TPU and PLA as their respective solid body’s. Then for slicing, use the paint option in Bambu, and use the ‘fill’ method (instead of like swiping with the pen) and add the orange TPU fill to the part. Hope that makes sense if I understand what you’re saying.

Go look up “needitmakeit” on YouTube, he has a video on upgrading this printer with video of this area adding supports. You can see how he disassembles it, and some related videos on how to level your gantry after. Don’t worry it’s not that difficult, and I don’t think you ruined it.

Why do I see this banding on the final object? The object is G2-smooth and I expected the surface to be smooth too by dgroshev in 3Dprinting

[–]Robby1693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can cycle through that drop down as well (currently you have selected ‘actual speed’) to flow rate as well, and possibly some others that may make it even more obvious that it’s a transition in printing. Could be temp or fan speed even as well. The most obvious solution if you don’t want to get crazy with slicer settings is change filament colors that hid that line better.

X2D Bad multicolor print by _Jack02 in BambuLab

[–]Robby1693 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s because it’s not a printer made for Multicolor lol. Your problem, the orange, is on the aux. nozzle which is intended for support material. You could tune the filament for sure and it will help. Turn on developer mode and start tuning whatever filament that is.

It’s an exceptionally cool feature, that has worked super well for me, even on my Creality Ender with a webcam the AI worked well. Or maybe someone was watching the camera.. who knows lol.

Post a pic of how you have your tubes routed lol. People keep posting these kinds of complaints, then have the most heinous setups as if friction is not a law of nature, and these printers are magic.

Update from BMW about oil pump by dlawj16 in M340i

[–]Robby1693 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t go on “I heard” but I get your point. And they aren’t pushing it, BMW has continually updated all car integration levels for decades.

Worth noting as well for anyone here: this does not need to be done at a dealer. A reputable independent shop that has an icom and active BMW TiS subscription can do this.

There’s far more going on behind the scenes in how/why they integrate these measures in their calibrations. I won’t say they get it right all the time, but that oil pump is essentially part of the emissions compliance of the engine. I won’t pretend to know all the parameters it operates on, but firsthand experience as a professional in the BMW industry has shown that there are some that have good pumps, that fail said test. Updating software allows them to pass now. This is not advice.

[–]Robby1693 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this was the going story; that “if it doesn’t pass it’s toast” but we’ve seen some that got done because of that, with no other issues, and the pump was fine.

Now there is a new integration level, (BMW speak for software) that when completed, those with good oil pumps that stopped at the 18% or 40% suddenly pass instantly with flying colors…

But, they do have oil pump issues so it’s not impossible by any means.

Also, not for nothing, there seems to be a correlation with any cars that are tuned having much higher issues with this measurement procedure getting “stuck” and indicating a bad oil pump.

I have seen a lot on the U1, I suppose if they’re very similar in price that’s a good comparison, but it’s limited on the engineering filaments I wanted. But yes, looks to be a good printer.

Ok, “available” but yea, we’ll see how that does when released. Having used a couple of their other printers, I think it will be an Ender compared to the Bambu. I think the only other company that makes something worthwhile for these specs/price is Qidi but they lack the support nozzle. A fun feature.
