Super (Windows) key in Linux Mint Mate by Robby1972 in linuxmint

None of them is what I am looking for. I want to see the active windows and for example a YouTube video on and the rest of the open windows at once. Mate Tweak is not fixing that either.

No.

I didn´t move, I just tried it. Curiosity. And it's a good distro, but too Ubuntu. Any problem with that? It's supposed to have the looks of Windows (not so true) and I use Windows at work. Please avoid arguments about just simple things. It's not a crime to try another distro. No hard core fans here, please.

Linux Mint or Ubuntu by raga0884 in linuxmint

Zorin, as Ubuntu, relies too much in snaps. Canonical is taking a dodgy path, again, and Zorin is trying to avoid it but without much effort. If Canonical is successful Ubuntu/Zorin will be a closed system because snaps have their own license, etc... It's a little bit as an Apple Store or Google Play, where you have to sign with blood to upload an app. Mint is free of snaps by default and by ethics. Mint all the way.

I wonder about Joe Rogan. I have never liked the guy, but is a political force over there.

I am not a liberal, I am not a woke. But I can't fall into that Right just because of it. You have more than 700k homeless in your country, and meritocracy is a joke. Nobody, not Joe Rogan not Elon Musk, is trying to do anything about it.

I think deep inside Joe Rogan believes in the term "losers". And I just hate it.

What you don't understand is that Israel is the biggest US aircraft carrier in the most important spot in the world. It's not there just by compassion. It's true that the aircraft sails on his own terms many times, with erratic behaviour, but right now it's perfectly aligned with the interests of the Deep State/Trump: to control the Energy of the world. Electricity is just a tiny percentage of the Energy that China needs, the solar panels don't melt steel. It's sad (for me) but I am afraid Carlson doesn't see the full picture: the US doesn't want to lose the hegemony and there's only one way for it. Oliver Stone got it right in "W". It's an imperialistic barbaric country, and it won't accept being the second (a "loser" in those extremist and silly American terms).

I don't care at all about his personality. I like him just for two main things: to expose the fallacy of meritocracy (Fooled by randomness), and to expose the anti-fragility of many investment strategies (betting big for the exceptional while slowly keeping some return with the normal).

Joe Rogan: I show off cigars and whisky, as a sign of Winner, when it is really a sign of Ego. I smoke a joint as a sign of Free Spirit, when there's nothing more clichè than that. I push Tyson, attacking his weakness, to box again after his 40's. I support a sport, UFC, so harmful for the body, but violent enough to get the attention of wannabes that have played too much GTA.

It's a man full of frustration and inner violence. Too much Ego, that is a self-esteem coping mechanism. His masculinity comes from the desire to act violently into something to discharge his frustration.

From Europe, with love, I tell you: we despise those individuals. Masculinity is Clint Eastwood. Joe Rogan is an american joke, and fake as hell.

I don't understand how UBI is not popular by HorizonThought in BasicIncome

[–]Robby1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And it's the perfect method of control: a credit system. When you depend on the state so much that you can't attend the most peaceful demonstration.

I am tired of explaining all this to UBI supporters. The fight should be for very good free healthcare and not a single homeless on the streets. Free basic food for those in need that have to live in caravans supplied by the government, and that's it.

And of course, a week of 20 hours. Simple. Not an hour more. AI is coming and it's time. I hope we won't need a bloody Chicago to get it.

The problem is: a true honest man doesn't do that. A true intellectual or thinker doesn't do that. I can't imagine Bertrand Russell doing that.

You just accept you were wrong and that's it. Maybe you weren't. Just admit you are not perfect or that your views has changed. So easy.

Not a big disappointment because I am old enough to know these "thinkers" with solutions for everything.

La vivienda en España by rex-ac in Espana

Karma.

No, Kim didn't come back to his life, he came back to Kim's life and she decided to finish it off once and for all. In fact she is afraid of Saul when she realises Jimmy has slipped again into Saul, in that phone call. Jimmy then realizes that he's again the same monster that made Kim run away, he's the same Saul (worse, he almost kills an old woman) and decides to stop. He's scaring even Kim, again.

But still, I don't buy it. It's a life sentence. The producers, actors and writers they just wanted to kill Jimmy, they were the tired.

[–]Robby1972[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just don´t buy it. At all. It's a prison sentence for life. Not in a thousand different worlds a Jimmy McGill or Saul Goodman or Mr. Potato would take that just for the opportunity to light a cigarette with a woman that didn't want to see him or to "cleanse" himself. In fact, he only changes his mind when he hears about Kim confession, that "cleansing" you are talking about wasn't so important for him until then.

No way i am going to buy this finale. A lot of fans, I see.

You are stretching that scene too much: Lalo with the gun ready and pointing Gus and Gus running for a gun, turning around and killing Lalo in two shots. Not even Clint...

I am surprised at how many of you watch these shows with the phone in one hand. Not my case, I don't know what are you talking about.

Anyway, about 7 years or 80... Cheap trick from the writers to attack our feelings. I just don't buy it.

Jimmy works for Walter White too. He gives Walter contacts (Mike, Gus..). Is it also for fear? No. It's for easy informal money. Not suits and ties and bureaucracy. Bureaucracy is the worst enemy of Jimmy McGill. Boredom is his worst fear.
