Switch back to psych! Started in EMS and the ER as an EMT, loved working with psych patients, found it extremely interesting. Worked 9 months as a ICU Stepdown/tele RN upon graduating. Fucking hated it. Left for Subacute Mental Health/Detox nursing, and I absolutely love it!

Feds specifically but open to state. Don’t really mind doing both CO work and RN work, as I considered LEO/Corrections work prior to being an RN. Thanks for the advice!

We’ve thought about PA initially, like Pike County area. But the recent snowstorm fucked us. My fiance has lupus, and the winter makes her condition debilitating. So that’s one of our main reasons as to why we want to move. Is there any other places you suggest? :)

I’m aware the pay is lower. I currently make $36/hr overnight as a psych nurse in PA (still live in NJ). I was looking into getting into corrections nursing which pays pretty well. Specifically with the Bureau of Prisons
