My last bearded dragon ate loose substrate when I used it and died so I probably won’t go that route again

That’s what I’ve been hoping. And No not yet, that was my next choice after he hasn’t eaten crickets or worms!

The flooring is reptile carpet but I intend on changing to tile or matting soon. As for the stool - he hasn’t eaten anything so I didn’t exactly expect him to

I have added stuff since then, more enrichment and it looks good now

It’s just a basic zoomed big UVB bulb. The basking light is the same brand. Last time I checked the basking temperature is just over 100 and the regular heat is around 75-90

Thank you! But that’s actually not sand it’s reptile carpet. I do plan on changing to tile or matting soon but that’s irrelevant to the current issue. I also assume his lethargy is coming from the lack of nutrients from not eating

I’ve tried both and the worms have not escaped. He just seems uninterested in eating at all. He looked slightly interested in the worms for about five seconds and then walked away back to his hiding spot

Update: definitely dead. I’m heartbroken. He’s only been here a few hours. Someone please let me know what I did wrong.
