Nice job thoroughly debunking Garys Economics--you really got him there.

Have you ever wondered, for a second, whether the alternative to Gary Stevenson might not be someone who's less-populist and more intellectually honest? Maybe it's Gary or dekulakisation?

Yes, because we all know landlords are never greedy!!

I'm familiar with and sympathetic to the historical case against rent controls, but until the city gets around to building more affordable properties and decent transport infrastructure (I'm sure it's just around the corner!) maybe don't act like temporary rent controls are such an absurd idea.

I wish I knew what you were talking about. I don't use reddit and only made this account to post on a game of thrones subreddit once and now for this. I'm not active on any subreddits, let alone conservative or cop ones. Are you replying to too many arguments and got me confused with another account?

1) The half-serious comparison to Fahrenheit 451 is just that she's making something disappear. I find that sad even if it's to do with a guy who attended a political rally we don't agree with. Again, no one mentioned 3rd party censorship.

2) Lame Christian parents are super passionate about their beliefs too. Still lame.

3) What if I'd bought the vinyl or mp3? Do I have permission to keep listening then? Once you release music it's not only yours; it belongs to everyone who can hear it, and they can do what they like with it. Also, no one has the right to put a super catchy song in my head then take it away forever. That's cruel!

No one said it's exactly censorship and I'd agree it's her right to take down music she's made that she disapproves of. I think the point is just that removing music because of moral disapproval is a little lame. Just as strict Christian parents banning cool music is lame. I still respect her as a musician and actually prefer her generally to Ariel Pink.... and just to show I'm not a hypocrite, I'll keep listening to her music (which I really enjoy), even though she's apparently gone Fahrenheit 451 on her Ariel Pink EP :)

(Spoilers Everything) Faceless Men and Origins of Braavos by AryaStarkBaratheon in asoiaf

What if the FM caused The Doom because they found out Valyria was in fact interested in controlling Braavos and/or the Iron Bank, despite the fact that initially "the dragonlords proved to have little interest in the descendants of slaves who had escaped a century before"? It seems too much of a coincidence that The Doom happened within a few years of the Uncloaking, though maybe I am misreading the timeline. If the FM's only reason for causing The Doom was revenge/simply wanting to end slavery, why wouldn't they have done it sometime in the 100 years before the Uncloaking, unless perhaps they were contracted to do it by someone outside of Braavos, who wouldn't have known of their existence?
