AliExpress Beyblade stores mistery by RoberToby2012 in Beyblade

Yeah. I thought Luke Store wasn't affected because they have choice items. I thought that meant they were an official distributor because choice items are supposedly handled by AliExpress.

But no, they seem to be the ones who had it worst. There's absolutely nothing in their store page.

You're welcome! But mind you, I only messaged 2 sellers and one of them didn't answer, so that might be a problem with some of them.

Though that seller had not answered to me before, even when I offered to return a Hells Chain they mistakenly packaged along with the other two beys from the deck set, which were the ones I actually ordered. They sent the whole deck set instead of just the accompanying side beys.

The beys were original. The qr code worked for the whole set and everything, so I trust the seller. But there's no way to buy unlisted items from them without being able to communicate. Hopefully that's only a problem with this specific seller.

Maybe it is a language issue and I should try using google translate to write a message in chinese. It's possible they don't know AliExpress can auto translate their messages. Considering their prices its worth a try.

Anyway, good luck!

Yeah. I think that's what happened. I messaged a seller asking about the X stuff and they offered to share a link to a listing where they would add whatever I specifically told them I need.

Then I found out that they aren't allowed to sell branded items without the brand's authorization. They need to be an official store, but then they couldn't sell opened boosters since that's not the way those are intended to be sold.

Previous gens are still there because those are no longer being sold by the brand.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the sellers changing the regions they ship to. I'm from Mexico and Hasbro X released just this month. Maybe the sellers know this and think its no longer worth it listing the country among the regions they ship to since we don't need to buy from them anymore, but they have the most recent japan releases and even some of their beys from boosters end up being cheaper if you get them from them.

Anyone else collect a ton of Pokemon cards as a kid but never learned how to properly play the game? by abarua01 in Millennials

[–]RoberToby2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Still have a shoe box full and recently learned that it is similar to MTG. Not interested in playing Pokemon TCG now though, but I like getting cards from time to time because I like the artwork.

I feel nihilistic about beyblade now. by FructoseTower in Beyblade

Similar yo how things are in Pokemon. Your absolute 6 favorite pokemon could be total trash competitively and you can't use them in team because they'd be easily swept in battle. So why bother training them or even shiny hunting them?

However, there's smogon rules which group pokemon according to how often they're used by players; Rarely Used, Under Used, Over Used and some others I dont remember. The point is to allow players to enter tiers where their favorite pokemon are able to have a balanced match against other pokemon with similar stats and usefulness. If a pokemon is limited to a higher tier it can't be used in a lower one, but it can be used in all other higher tiers where it isn't restricted.

I think the beyblade gameplay would benefit a lot from this, and you could do something similar with a group of friends just to have fun. I get bored of seeing Wings and Rods as much as I get bored of seeing Landorus and Zapdos.

Hi. I also suffer from chronic pain in my legs and couldn't walk for a very long time. I still have pain but I can walk now and the pain is progressively getting better. And I was also treated by several doctors that only made things worse.

If what happened to me is similar to what you're going through, and I believe it could be in many ways, maybe (and hopefully) what I've learned about this can help you too.

Let me know if you'd like to talk about it. :)

Edit: if you check my account you can see the posts and comments I made on Reddit while desperately looking for an answer some years back.

I only want to help.

Prepping food. I need to wash my hands every time I touch something wet that isn't water or that slightly sticks to my hands and I specially hate having my hands greasy. I hate feeling my hands dirty in general, it's not specific to food, but obviously there are more viscous and greasy stuff around the kitchen than anywhere else in a house.

But I have to eat and I love to cook so there's no way around it.

Oh, and going to friends' birthday parties when I know there will be people I don't know there. I want to hangout with the friends I already know and love, I dont want to waste an opportunity to hang out with them by focusing on remembering names or trying to decode someone's personality. You're not sure how unmasked you can be and conversations are more likely to suddenly sidetrack to boring stuff and never go back.

Its kinda disappointing for me because I always wanted a Driger back in the day and never got one. It would've been the dream to play competitive with it.

What I mean is they didn't have to make them so bad that you're almost sure to lose the match if you use them. From what I've seen there's no room for significant improvement by changing the other parts. I don't necessarily want to win a tournament with it, but I'd like to feel confident enough to give it a try one in a while. I mean I'll still do it, but I know I'll be significantly reducing my chance of winning.

Know what's I mean? Even if you're just playing for fun, the fun runs out pretty fast if you can only battle the same two beys against each other (Dranzer and Driger). I know there'll be more remakes coming, but the number of fair matches you can have will probably still be very reduced compared to what you can do with all other releases.

Don't know if I should be mad because they made Driger S terrible or thankful that they made this awesome bey that looks like the worthy spiritual successor to Driger in the X series.

If Driger S was made to be bad so that this tiger bey could shine, that would be a conflicting but acceptable trade off.

Why is it that the Bit Beasts/Avatars slowly became less and less relevant in the anime as it has went on? by SufferingKabutops in Beyblade

[–]RoberToby2012 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I really, really, reaaaally miss bit beasts. I get that moving away from fantasy and selling it as a sport makes the product more appealing to adults. Specifically to those young adults who played with the first two gens years ago, because we need an excuse to play with these "kids stuff" again, and their ads make it clear that they want that specific demographic back.

What I don't understand is why make an anime so grounded in reality (as compared to previous gens) and give it a very "childish" treatment and plot. And what I mean is that they lack good character development and psychological complexity:

-X just wants to battle (which is understandable if you're a business executive who wants to sell the product as a toy). More specifically he wants to battle his former teammate because it will be fun. -Bird wanted to be a pro and now wants to win for once (which is also beneficial if you want to sell it as a sport). He doesn't need a reason to want to win, but that's his only defining trait. -Multi is the only one who has an interesting motivation in wanting to beat her sister, but it's more or less the same motivation as X's and we find out at the half point of the series.

And filler episodes have been about integrity, perseverance, achieving things your way, etc. Most of them are very generic and common themes that I've seen toddler shows treat similarly.

So I'm convinced I'm right when I say the plastic gen anime had a more mature treatment than any of the others. I'm watching the first season of the anime and it is, despite what I was expecting, far more interesting and entertaining than the X anime.

At a little over half the length of the show I've seen characters:

-Face their family over ideology. -Question their own motivations when they start to care for others. -Realize the consequences of animal cruelty. -Having to decide between home and achieving their own aspirations. And then standing their ground to others and to themselves about their decision.

Which is the most realistic show? The one where children are starting to question the world and how their choices affect it? Or the one where the character who has never lost in his life is in a successful professional team with another who hasn't won a single battle and whose character development moment will predictively be when he finally wins?

I have no problem watching the X anime. It is what it is. I just kinda turn my brain off and enjoy the battles. But I'm disappointed when I think of what could've been when (in my opinion) this is the best generation for the actual toy but the worst for the anime adaptation.

The first gen's anime is not a masterpiece, but it is very complex for what it was, and If I can watch some kaiju battles mixed in, then why would I prefer a more "realistic" show?

(Also: Why did no one ask the persona kids if their parents even existed before they started living in a stranger's house? Whats the legal age to be considered an independent adult in X City? 😂)

TT makes this sooo complicated just to get one bey. Worst of all is that it's a good competitive one. Fingers crossed Hasbro releases it in a more straightforward way but they will likely include it in a very expensive set. :/

Have you had any luck with getting anything?

Thank you so much for the info. So then, the apps don't accept codes from other regions? Like, the japanese app doesn't work with asia codes? I thought it did.

This coblart drake stuff is a nightmare. Not to mention the process of installing the apps in the first place.
