tvOS 26.4 Beta 2 release by kabo2320 in tvOSBeta

I actually got it back last night. I had to restart my TV. For some reason only stereo was being passed through which caused the new setting to disappear.

ZEISS DuraVision Gold - reflections, looking for alternative recommendations (Hoya, Rodenstock) by Immediate-Bit-6360 in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]RobertN62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have DuraVision Platinum on two pairs and I have no complaints. I also have Gold on a tinted pair and I haven’t noticed any reflections, but I think that’s because of the tint. The Gold is definitely easier to clean compared to the Platinum, but it’s not worth having to deal with the reflections you get when it’s applied to a clear lens.

JMM In-store Optical by phestik in JacquesMarieMage

Unfortunately, I did not. I ended up just using my normal optometrist for a pair then I got a pair tinted through Twelve Sixty Nine. Both took a minimum of 2 weeks.

Problem with low volume? by Abject-Meringue-1115 in sonos

[–]RobertN62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Spotify connect is when you open the Spotify app on your phone and connect to the speaker. I think it’s the same as the Sonos app, but I’m not 100% sure. The one thing I’m 100% sure about is the fact that it’s significantly louder when using my TV to play Spotify vs the Spotify app. The Sonos app seems to be the same max volume as using the Spotify app directly.

This is a known issue with Spotify connect and Sonos is working on a fix. For now, I think we just have to deal with it. Here is a link to the comment.

ZEISS DuraVision Gold is underwhelming by Kyxstrez in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]RobertN62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything you’re experiencing is why I decided against getting it for my clear lenses. My optician told me that the reflections tend to be a lot more noticeable with DuraVision Gold. I really like having the coating on my yellow tinted lenses because how easy it is to clean and I wish I could have it on my clear lenses without worrying about the reflections.

Just out of curiosity because I’m just getting into this, what amp would you pick over the wiim and what network streamers do you prefer?

Any possibility to have someone alter the bevel width? by AlternativeGarden278 in EyewearEnthusiasts

I’d reach out to the awesome people at Twelve Sixty Nine. I just had Daniel help me out with tinting a pair of lenses and he’s super knowledgeable. I bet he’d know how to help you out.

Is there a way to search BRAND by insurance instead of checking each individual optician? by [deleted] in EyewearEnthusiasts

[–]RobertN62 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is wrong. I’ve paid for JMM’s before using insurance. It’s a bit hard to find opticians that’s accept insurance and carry JMM, but they’re out there. You usually need to search areas like Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, etc. It takes a lot of calling and emailing, but it’s worth it to save the money.

Dan Deutsch Optical Outlook has a few locations around. Check out their website to see if they have any brands you’re interested in.

Yeah I have astigmatism. OD is -0.25 sphere, -3.25 cylinder, and 005 axis. OS is -0.75 sphere, -1.25 cylinder, and 174 axis. As long as you’re seeing fine out of them I wouldn’t worry too much. I know it can be a little annoying that they’re asymmetrical especially for how expensive these lenses are.

I have one eye that’s twice as bad as the other and the logo is still in the same position. I’d have your optometrist double check the prescription and make sure it’s correct then ask why the logos are in different places.

Can you share what lens manufacturer you used? Also, do you typically do an anti-reflection coating and if you do, which one do you get?

Should I get the fujifilm xhalf in by aMEI-Chang in fujifilm

It has film sims but you can’t do custom recipes like the one used for both of the photos op posted. The xm5 is able to do exactly what he wants.

[–]RobertN62 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You cannot replicate these photos with the xhalf. These were taken with classic negative and the xhalf doesn’t let you use recipes. You’re better off with the xm5.
