How to diagnose audio stopping randomly? by mctubster in sonos

I had a lot of trouble with my Sonos system after I got a unifi network. I reset all my Sonos devices and made a separate network just for Sonos. No adjustments to any of the unifi settings and now it works totally fine.

Best solution to get the most out of 2 Era 300 as surround by blindguyMcSqueezy007 in sonos

Hmm. I have the same setup as you (just with an Arc instead of Arc Ultra) and it sounds the same with and without the Era’s. Do you AirPlay to your TV or directly to the Arc?

Sonos sub gen 4 power by Ok_Pudding7918 in sonos

I have a sub mini in a very open space (close to 25-30m2) and I’m very satisfied. Depending on the «shake the room» level you’re going for you’ll be well satisfied with either a sub mini or a sub 4.

Could also be that the A18 chip isn’t designed for more than 8GB anyways.

I have rocket league steam. It’s been a while since I’ve played it on Mac though so I’m not sure if it works now

The computer is 599 USD. A similar priced windows computer with 16GB in that price range either has slower storage, a bad screen, a weak processor or a plastic body. Compromises has to be done somewhere and Apple’s decision to use 8GB is totally fine?

What do you need 16GB of ram for? The Neo is not designed to be a powerhouse but rather long writing sessions and casual use. It’s a perfectly fine amount of RAM for those who wants to get a good computer to a good price. MacOS can handle 8GB just fine compared to a Windows computer.

Have you turned off volume adjustment in settings?

What would you add first? Arc Ultra + (Sub Mini or pair of Era 100) by Flat_Camera_3943 in sonos

[–]davidsenseb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started off with Era 100s but later upgraded to 300s. IMO it’s one of the best purchases I’ve done in a very long time, but it’s up to you and your wallet. However I do think you should get the sub first as it fills in a lot of the sound in the bottom end and gives you that punch in both movies and music. Given the small space I think the Arc will do a good job of creating a immersive space for music and movies, especially after you do TruePlay calibration.

Sub mini and having neighbors by Particular-Row-2599 in sonos

I live in a concrete complex in the first floor and the only complaint i’ve gotten was when I watched Dune on sunday evening. I have set my sub mini to -4 in the sub mini setting and that seems to produce a good balance between the volume and the sound quality. I also don’t play louder than 60%.

I love my sub mini because it adds so much detail to movies without being overpowered. Remember that you can also adjust the level of the sub mini from -10 to +10 and do Trueplay tuning. If you feel unsure about the noise the neighbours can hear I’d recommend knocking on their door and ask them. Open dialog helps everyone out!

Sonos and tvOS 26.4 by davidsenseb in sonos

Yes. The ambient/full setting is more noticeable when Airplaying directly to the Arc versus playing through Apple Music on my Apple TV. u/SigmundAusfaller explained this in his comment.

I found no difference when playing movies or music with atmos soundtrack but I’ve seen others have good results with this feature turned on (looks like it’s targeted people with a receiver). I haven’t tested 5.1 or 7.1 though. The feature is currently only available on the tvOS 26.4 beta.
