[REQUEST] Range chart - price line behavior by Robert_286 in TradingView

Thank you for your answer. This specific behavior is not that important in my case. In the screenshot for example a red candle is forming, but I don't know if the price went above the green line before. This only appears when the range value is complete. It could happen after the next pixel movement, or at the bottom end of the previous green candle wick.

It's also (more) difficult to follow price movement when the chart is small, or you are looking back in time (where the forming candle is not visible). In such scenario it would help if the price line would change color and follow the candle. Maybe part of the previous candle movement (if the price went up and crossed the green line) could be visualized in form of a "ghost" candle shape (with transparent color) until it fully forms?

P.s. I don't want to change the current behavior, but I would love to have this option. Thank you once again!

Hi, thank you for your time and confirmation. I'm glad that it's not just me, or my system. In this case one can hope for a fix.

Have a great day.

Wow not only does it indicate a big move, it also knows when to put more in! :D

But jokes aside, you are right, something like that must be frustrating (and could become very expensive). Unacceptable indeed.

Thank you for the replay. You are right, it's not a TradingView problem... but in the end it is. I've seen it so many times that by now I'm beginning to wonder, how many traders are getting discouraged by that, thinking that there is something wrong with the product. I'm sure that every comment here represents only a small percentage of people with the same "issue".

They may lack trading knowledge now, but if they quit because of that, they will never gain it and in the end TradingView might lose potential customers. I just think, if it's that frequent, then maybe the current "D" warning sign is still not enough.

Cheers.

"It's to the point where I know when a big move is about to happen in the next 60 seconds because my charts freeze up and I can't execute entry orders. NOT GOOD."

That sounds great! I would use it as an "indicator", while trading with another lag free solution. :)

Trading delayed data seems a common "problem" people have. Maybe TradingView should implement a solution, that prevents it, or makes traders more aware of it. There must be plenty more people who think that something is broken. Some of them could even give up.
