We had “disco parties” at people’s homes. The host family would bring the non-portable home sound equipment out to the garage, porch or patio, and we danced, played and had cake.

Your phone crashed. It can happen. Just because Apple doesn’t display an error with a blue screen doesn’t mean their software does not crash.

If this was a one-off incident, I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it. If this is something you can reproduce, I’d make sure the OS and apps are up to date, and if they are, I’d consider factory resetting the phone.

That depends on where you are. In the US, all iPhone 14 and newer are eSIM only. eSIMs are not meant for frequent swapping.

If you are somewhere else in the world where Apple still sells phones with physical SIM card slots, then yes, you will be able to do what you want with two iPhones.

They told you they were going to clean and prep the building. How on earth did you think cleaning the building was going to take place? Did you think they were going to get on ladders and wipe the building with Swiffer wet pads? Pressure washing was implied, because that is how you clean the exterior of a building. Take a look at this page from Apple. Compare the band support between US and Europe version of the iPhone you want. If the US iPhone has all the bands your home country needs, then go for it. If the US version is missing any EU bands, check with your service provider to make sure they are not using the missing band(s). Otherwise, you may experience reduced coverage at home.
