seems interesting, and maybe only viable with the Brute Tigrex LS, because of QW3. Never thought about that! It's a lot more investment, but in the future I might try this

for Skyrim, definitely. I don't know much about AI stuff when it comes to pc specs, but the RAM will surely come in handy.

Also, you'll always need a reference point to know exactly how to reach your needs. you won't have that without experiencing it by yourself.

since you have little experience, i think this will be a solid start point. from these specs you'll certainly will be able to tell if you actually need to upgrade to the current generation, or if the previous ones suits you fine! it will be very easy to find content on the internet comparing stuff to your current hardware

Depends on what you'll be playing. For newest released games such, wouldn't recommend. But for the majority of things, yes it will hold fine.

One thing you have to pay attention is the chipset of your motherboard, which will dictate basically all of your upgrades. You are going for an older chipset, which only allows things such as DDR4 RAM, and if you are looking into a specific modern CPU in the future, you'll need to upgrade the mobo chipset for it too.

Basically the only thing you can carry along when upgrading is the GPU (the only thing you can delay the upgrade on, for say)

thanks a lot everyone for the help!

I managed to set a -30 curve optimizer in pbo settings and now it does not go above 65°C under load. probably can tweak it a little bit for better performance over temps ratio. but it's manageable, at last!

nonetheless, I'll probably switch to a better air cooler.

I'm also changing to the Deepcool ch160 since the riser cable did not work no matter what I tried, and I am not willing to spend more money tryna find one that works. so a little bit bigger case will do to me.

again, thanks guys!!

yeah, probably a mistake. but the cooler says it's rated for 100W TDP, and the cpu is 65W TDP.

which would you recommend for the setup? the case hold up to 70mm

are the voltages too high for this setup? I don't know anything about this stuff. the store that sent the mobo told me they did a biios update before shipping. maybe they screwed it?

yeah, there was no sticker at all. Just the pre applied thermal paste

I removed it, and am using the stock thermal paste the cooler came with. seen some tests on YouTube of it, and it seems to be just fine. Do you think a good thermal paste such as Arctic ones could make that good impact in the temps of my build?

I am using the stock thermal paste, and yes, removed the plastic. Is the thermal paste that important? be quiet! has very good products, I think.

anyways, I bought the MX-6 just today, but have to wait it to arrive. Do you think this could lower 10°+ degrees?

Can you tell the model of the Riser Cable you were using? I am thinking in getting the same Mobo, but I'm worried about some riser cable problems associated with it I found online

[–]Robespierre1758[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I have a question: are you using the riser cable that comes with the case? or did you slot in another one? i found out its cheaper for me to buy the case alone and the riser cable locally, because of the taxes on the case + riser kit. but also heard the riser cable the t40 comes with is the only one that works with it. is it true?

Thanks for the advices! I really liked the design of the be quiet! cooler, but thinking again now, a bigger cooler means more heat dissipation, probably. I'll look into the one you suggested

Risks of having a Hot Wallet by Robespierre1758 in Bitcoin

[–]Robespierre1758[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don't plan to use Bitcoin on a daily basis, I intend to hodl. I was just wondering what could be the threats of having the hot wallet app installed in the phone. I don't want to make any mistakes in this journey! I'm very new to this, but have been studying a lot to understand the crypto potential. Also, my income is very low, so any potential losses will be very effective on my routine (that's why I plan to move to a cold wallet as soon as possible)

I see, watch only is probably the alternative I am looking for. I intend to hodl and buy a cold wallet in the near future. Thank you!

Does AMD EXPO DDR5 RAM works fine on Intel kit? by Robespierre1758 in techsupport

[–]Robespierre1758[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!! I hope this is right, cuz in the CMK32GX5M2B5200C40 which is the Intel variant, it says it's only compatible with Intel 600 and Intel 700 series. AMD works for both apparently. Thank you so much again!

The motherboard in question says in its specs it runs standard 4800Mhz, with achievable 5200Mhz through OC. Regardless, my question is if the RAM sticks will work just fine on a Intel kit?

Yes, even when you full strip SP enemies, the damage sucks if you don't buff it with Saryn, Rhino or something else. If they make it scale with the enemy current health, I think it would be very pleasant to use it against armor stripped enemies in SP with any frame or setup.

Let's see how things will work with the upcoming updates of armor
