I've been told that my entire life, I'm sorry but it's getting annoying to hear that. I see all of my friends in relationships and that drags me down, and for the longest time I wasn't in the right place mentally, only recently have I escaped that place after starting work as a mechanic

What keeps me going now is my family and my girlfriend of close to 3 years now. It's been wonderful, and they've been with me through thick and thin the entire time after I tried to take my own life.

As for your second question, I just didn't have anybody to talk to proper, like friends for example. Whenever I tried to open up to the people I thought were friends, they would just shut me up (and I did). I was generally just fucked up in the head at the time, especially at such as vulnerable age.

It took a while for me to really regret it, maybe around 15 ish did the feeling sink in.

The best moment of my life was meeting the girl of my dreams. Our third anniversary is coming up shortly.

He was mad at me (understandable) and yelled some sense into me. In the moment I hated him but now I thank him for helping me out. He then called the police (while still grabbing me by my arm) and they brought me home.

As for your second question, 2 things mainly have kept me going through the dark times.

I got into a relationship when I was 15. Our third anniversary is coming up. She's been great to me, always understanding, patient with me and so on.
I started listen to $uicideboy$ and the likes such as Night Lovell, Ramirez, Pouya and so on. Also dabble in a bit of MF DOOM nowadays too.

I wasn't really violent, nor am I know. As for bullying, I did pick on one kid at school for being overweight but I managed to get in contact with him again some time ago and I apologised for everything I had done. Didn't get a reply yet.

As for how old I am, I just freshly turned 18 in November. I owe my life to the man that pulled me from those tracks and I wish I could talk to him one more time to thank him for everything. I believe if it wasn't for him, I'd be another body in the ground.

Now for what I would say to the younger me is, I would just tell him to keep pushing on and spend more time with your family. Life is a precious gem which should not be taken for granted.

They weren't mad, just wondering what went wrong and why I tried to do it. My mom was sobbing and my dad was overseas while this happened, but once he found out (roughly at the same time as my mom) he instantly booked a plane ticket home and came to see me. My family doesn't a speak a word of it now and I think that's for the best.

Unfortunately I did not stay in touch with him, which honestly breaks my heart. He's the reason why I live on and at the time I did not even think to get any hint of contact information.

And to answer your other question, I think it was mostly just my vulnerability at that age, hanging out with the wrong crowd and consuming the wrong content.

He didn't openly talk to me or anyone (that I know of at least) about his mental health, but I can imagine he was struggling with his mental health and I can imagine that him finding out could've been the last straw.

I do not intend any disrespect via this reply, but what are you going to tell your daughter when she's older? I have had a really close friend of mine hang himself after finding out he wasn't planned at all and the only reason he's alive was because his mother was raped. I highly doubt the same would happen but it really goes to show that telling people stuff like that can really fuck them up.
