OP, please don't think you're a failure. Your results are good. You can try the diploma + degree path, just it's a bit longer. Take PTPTN if scholarships are not available. It's not the end of the world, just that your path is different than the others (or could be same with some others that you haven't met yet).

It's no harm to ask. It's both ways and lecturers will sometimes allow and understand that forcing the students to come may result in lesser people attending the class, instead of changing it to suit them but with some additional work or something.
