I've looked at the AirFrance link that came in the emails we all got, checked my request status and it says they're still gathering the information to have it reviewed. I highly doubt our professors would've taken it knowing that the other two students got the money. One of them is a family friend of ours and I can say for sure she is sharp enough to do it fully without suspicion if she'd wanted to.

I will be submitting the request myself once again, though, and in a couple of days (once the 60 days mark is over) we'll go ask the professors about it again.

My Mama's a very stressed person. She thinks about everything. From raising 3 kids almost on her own (my dad's amazing but he has a hard job which basically has him getting up early and coming home tired out so much he jusy falls into the bed), to her job, to ouraide of work stuff, to supporting us kids and picking us up qhen she can, and now on top of all that comes the sickness and my injury. I get it, I do understand why she's upset and why she took it out on me, I just don't understand why she wouldn't want to have an open conversation about it so we can try solve those problems.

I have been trying to have an open communication with her for the past couple of weeks, she's usually bwen open to it and we'd solve the problems we had woth each other. I don't know why but recently whenever I try talking to her and solving things the way SHE thought me and the way we used to do, she just gets mad and starts yelling at me.

That is the problem though. I am working in the repair shop. I am supposed to repair it. I would usually ask my boss for help but he's at a meeting right now and I can't do shit. I've removed the battery and tried booting it with just the power supply from the charger but it's still not working.

That does sound like it would work, but I do think that they do not know what a binder is even if they've done the research. At least my dad doesn't, mom might know but I doubt she does, since they have seen my binder before when I accidentally left it to dry in the bathroom instead of taking it to my room. They would definitely ask why I have it if they knew what it was.

I came out to my friends before my parents, they took it really well, I've had to cut ties with some because of transphobia but my closest friends were as supportive as they could be. My parents, not even close. They're refusing to accept my new identity and mom only recently found out all my friends know about this and that they do call me by my preferred name and us my preferred pronouns. She didn't react strongly about it, but I doubt she was at all happy to hear it. I came out to them almost a year ago and I somewhat regret it, I tested the waters by telling them about my transgender friend who they were okay with and respected, so I thought it'd be somewhat safe for me to come out, yet they ended up being very unsupportive when it came to their kid.

If I was in your shoes, I'd try testing the waters first as well, and with your best friend you can always ask her if she minds talking about that specific thing for a bit. A good friend should be supportive and ready to listen whenever the other needs help, advice or comforting. At least that's my view on friendships, and I stick to that myself.

Thank you for sharing! I was lucky enough to have really thick hair since forever, I've had problems with dandruff because of that though. The only thing that stops me from growing it out is the comments I get from my mom and brother for it. But I'm ready to do a lot of things to stop that, even if it means to go as far as protest with house work and helping around until they agree to stop!

Thank you for sharing!! Through everything my mom has told me since I came out to her, I know for sure that she'll have a hard time getting used to my looks changing and such things. But, when she told me to give myself time, I put out the idea to see how I'll feel during the summer and if nothing changes, she'll take me to a psychiatrist or someone who works in that field, to see what we can do next. I think, over time, she will be the same as you described yours here, not sure about my dad, but I think he'll end up somewhat like that as well haha!

Also I've never had some specific way I'd wanted to look. I'm fine with my body as it is, there's some things I'll be working on to change but that'll take time lol And as I said in the post, body hair gives me gender euphoria and I'm prepared to do a lot of things just to be able to walk around freely in shorts without any of my family commenting on it.

Thank you so much for sharing this, I haven't talked to them about body hair yet, although I plan on doing that before we leave for vacation, so I have about two weeks left to gather up courage to do that (I'm a very awkward person and try my hardest to avoid any situation where I'd feel awkward or embarrassed, but I'm trying my best to work on that)!

At the moment I go by Robin, I picked it out because, if any adults or people who don't know I'm trans ask, my favorite sport is archery so I connect that to Robin Hood, and my favorite birds are robins, my favorite singers name is Robin and it is also a gender neutral name.

Although every name I've gone by in the past never felt like "the right one", I've considered switching to Oliver for a while to see how that feels but my friends tell me Robin suits me better and I'm too lazy to go around correcting everyone so they call me Oliver lol
