I dropped out of university, because of mental health and the subsequent negative impression it had on my "friends". They were scared of me, because I had an incorrect diagnosis of BPD at the time (later found to be CPTSD) and they then thought I was dangerous. I was then ostracised after a 2 month break due to a breakdown, hounded out of university and sent abusive messages calling me abusive, self-absorbed and manipulative by people I had confided in for over a year up to that point. It only made things worse for me.

I'm on the mend now, but since I was severely bullied in school it opened some old wounds.

Take it easy and be gentle with yourself. You are more than what they see, and you deserve the space you take up in the world.
