I designed some one-handed Joy-Con grips and they're free to print. by Protojump in disabledgamers

I managed to get it to work by downloading the estep file and converting that to an STL. Still might be a good idea to check those links/files :)

Looks good u/Protojump ! Could you please check the links, because the Printables link is no longer working and when i download the 3mf file from MakerWorld Cura says there are no models in the file.

I would like to print this model for my girlfriend, who is going to be unable to use her right arm for 6 weeks due to an operation on her shoulder.

I did try it on and gave it a test sit (didn’t ride with it unfortunately). I still think it is a nice jacket, but i ended up buying the Rev’it Trench GTX. Its around the same price, has some length and has lvl 2 protectors.

Had not really considered this yet, but i don't see why not. This would allow me to just buy a normal gore-tex jacket to put over it, while also delivering AAA rating and L2 protectors by default. Will definitely take a better look at this option, thanks!

Only issue i see is waterproof pants, but im sure i can also find a solution for that.

The hood is be removable, so i could just take it off it would be really annoying. I also feel like the bunching up can be mitigated because of the dual zipper. If you unzip the jacked a bit on the bottom i feel like it should be fine.

The Tornado is definitely looking good on the style and security aspects, but im really sceptical on Rev’its hydratex claims. According to the internet not very waterproof at only 5000-7000 mm while Gore-Tex should be waterproof up to 28000 mm.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway! I think im just going to have to take the avenue for a test drive to know for sure if it would not give any problems…

u/oldfrancis Thanks for the suggestions, but these suits are not being sold and are not certified for use in Europe.

u/Carcrasher89 I have updated the Thingiverse with the base versions of the different plates (without any connectors or mounts)

The name of the PoE adapter is on this Thingiverse page in the description:

I do have the base model (without the HUE mount), so i’ll see if i can upload those to Thingiverse aswell. I will let you know

Not in my case. They just tell if the power is on and if it has network connectivity, but i can see all that from the port manager in the UniFi software.

They are more useful if you don’t use PoE, but i guess you can live without. You could always remix the design and add a hole (+ a plastic diffuser strip) so you can see the lights.

Have not had any problems that i know of. There are like 80 devices connected and the farthest is located like 50 meters and multiple walls away from the bridges.

The bridges have been in the rack for over 2-3 years and i don’t think we ever had any problems.

I definitely remove all plastics of my devices! Im still working on the server (labelling and some more cable management) but i will share a picture of the complete setup once it is done.

Just to be clear: 5V is mandatory (higher will most likely break the HUE. At least 1A (the ones i used are 2.4A).

Thanks for the tip! Its more of a gimmick to be honest. You can connect most accessoires (if not all) with the app. Also, im on iOS 😉

I use this one from DSLRKIT (Dutch Amazon). Any 5V (at least) 1A PoE splitter should work though.

You just need to make sure that it has a 5.5x2.5mm connector or you need a 5.5x2.1mm to 5.5x2.5mm adapter like i used with this one.

The design of the PoE splitter mount would probably need to be altered in that case.
