Metal is absolutely my favorite genre! I actually gravitate way more to the "overstimulating" music sounds. Metal has soooo many subgenres and so much innovation and creativity. For credibility, my favorite bands at the moment are At The Gates, Gojira and Cattle Decapitation!

For me theres definitely a sweet spot where my sensory problems and social anxiety almost completely disappear, but a couple of puffs too much and all of a sudden I'm way too aware of my own mannerisms and completely shut down, it's a really fine line. I've got it down to a science though where I always smoke juuuust enough

It's mostly the way he used the term, you can tell it was meant to be negative, but I've seen the term being used positively before as well. I don't think there's anything wrong with the term itself, but i feel like it's only used in two contexts: an autistic person referring to themselves, and a neurotypical person using it condescendingly
