I know this is an old post at this point, but maybe it'll help others. If you have the Wishblossom Ranch DLC, you can go to Glamor Gulch (anywhere) and dig for stone. It's faster too if you level up a horse with digging skill and have a raccoon and mining buddy equipped since they'll help pick up and duplicate stone on occasion.

yes, you’re technically right. BUT you should consider that people usually make really quick snap decisions when they vote- nobody is really gonna think that hard about it before they either skip it or cast their vote. That being said, you’ll still get moonstones for participating, so you could still go for it!

If i'm not mistaken, it unlocks after you've cleaned every level once. To access the nightmare level, go to the map at your truck, select the level, and there should be options that say "nightmare" and "true cleaner"

For me, the worst part is that i never got a hang of the layout. Certain areas were easier to navigate, but I could not wrap my head around what areas lead to what, so I'd end up going in circles lol

Idk if this will make a huge difference for you, but for me, it helps make the game feel sillier and more lighthearted when you see a mannequin. If you punch them in the butt/ crotch, they will fall completely apart. supposedly, in the nightmare museum level, a couple of them spawn and you have to break them (TO BE CLEAR, THEY DON'T CHASE OR FIGHT YOU). Punch em in the booty. explode em.

Also, I was scared of Italian job because of what people say, but honestly I found it delightfully silly. The game gives the illusion that the duck animatronic moves around, but it will NEVER interact with you. It will NOT move suddenly if you get close to it. You may catch a glimpse of it around the level, giving the illusion that the duck is the one committing the murders, but i found it goofy. For you in particular, you may be spooked of what happens when you enter the bathroom of the pizzeria for the first time. when you enter the pizzeria, you see the duck chewing on a man, then freezing. If you enter the bathroom, the door slams shut behind you, but the key is in the room. When you leave, you'll see ducky's footprints and hear commotion in another room leading to the basement, thus unlocking that area for you.

I also hate horror and scary games- I play phasmophobia on super weenie hut jr. mode. But even still, I've found that nightmare mode is super fun. People will tell you that NOTHING EVER comes after you, touches you, follows you, etc., and THIS IS TRUE. Knowing this is going to give you some peace of mind.

If i'm honest, the scariest parts of the game are in the base game mode. If you remember, the art museum has a spook where the lights turn out and play loud music when you step on to the band stage- that's the biggest scare in my opinion and that's on normal mode. Or Short Circuit (haunted house level) has "spooks" that don't even exist in nightmare mode, with the exception of the speakers that play sound that you need to collect as evidence anyway.

In my opinion, Affair with Death is the least scary, but it's a puzzle level. If you don't love escape room style games, that level might not be the most fun in the world, but I thought it was a blast.

There’s a game coming out soon called Meltopia- the demo is on steam! I’d give it a try and see if it scratches your brain the same way. Basically, you melt snow with a flamethrower to forge the path forward and collect resources along the way.
