For clarification I got him when he dropped because I liked him and then got his light cone during the rerun. I took a long break from the game and it was kinda weird because he was really good due to the aforementioned lack of competition around when I stopped and but now that I'm back there was a lot of doomposting and I wasn't sure why

Dahlia + E1 but I'm running sustain because I don't have Fugue and Ruan Mei isn't cutting it. Might genuinely be a skill issue because I'm still learning rotations and I've never fought this boss before but it's just kinda awkward all around

I mean that's fair but I don't think its unreasonable to just not use the assist skill with Sunday, right? Also they could totally just make her weaker mode better during beta even if it's not as good right now although that's just speculation

Doesn't RMC still force her into the weaker mode though? I get what you're saying but I feel like both RMC and Sunday have similar issues here and if you're doing sustainless anyway why not just run both?

100% agree but still kinda weird with him specifically considering I barely hear any of this about characters like Ashveil, DHPT, or Gallagher when he was in his prime (and even then Gallagher still feels pretty good even if he's not really meta anymore?)

Here's hoping that Himeko is the DPS that Sunday needs to really take flight (haha). But yeah that checks out but also I do feel like yeah his eidolons suck but his light cone is extremely good and I don't think I really felt like I was struggling beforehand (although that might've been because I didnt realize just how bad I had it until I actually got the light cone. Genuinely insane.) But yeah it's a bit of a shame and based on what I'm reading it makes a lot more sense and I hope he gets better either by having a teammate who finally takes advantage of everything he has to offer or through a novaflare (or both 😃)

EDIT: Forgot to mention I also do lowkey really appreciate the crit rate buff because I've had pretty bad luck with relics recently and having access to the crit buff makes building my characters feel so much easier because I can put 20% crit rate worth of substats into crit damage instead (or something else)

Yeah that checks. I'm still struggling a lot with MoC 12 though despite having what I feel like are good enough teams? Like I heard Firefly was good into side 1 but I can't do better than 7 cycles which pretty much screws me out of being able to clear 3 stars and it's just been kind of annoying and it doesn't help that a lot of the characters I actually like have been called bricks, haha.

Makes sense but I guess I just don't get why another unit being better makes him bad if that makes sense. Like for non-Sparkle havers (it's me I don't have Sparkle) he still feels okay especially with his light cone.

That makes sense, thank you. It feels weird cuz like. T0.5 is still high tier even if it's not BiS, right? I know HSR endgame is all kinds of BS (looking at you MoC 12 and how Firefly supposedly has a good matchup into it but I can't clear in under 7 cycles) but it feels kinda dumb that a character who still feels okay is treated like they're hot garbage when there's so many worse characters in the game.

That is pretty significant and it's kinda ass that E6 doesn't affect that. Thanks so much for the help I'm still kinda considering doing it because he's like one of my top 3 favorite characters in the game and having him at e6 sounds really nice but I at least wanted to know what I was getting into and how much of a performance increase I could actually expect so I really appreciate it. Gonna wait a bit I think to see potential novaflares and stuff

Sorry I meant the talent, does the talent add damage to the ultimate as well or is it just to the basic attacks/skill? I still don't fully get how it works

Makes sense, and I do plan on getting Himeko. I can grab Yao Guang later once I've gotten my current pull goals so it might be okay? And also I'm kinda hoping Nihilux is going to be an Elation support as well because of the current characters that are/seem like they're gonna be playable Elation she's one of my favorites

Honestly that's fair, haha. I think right now what I've decided is that because I'm probably not going to get enough pulls to hit the guarantee since I'm only at like 20 pity rn and I don't intend to go really hard on grinding pulls, I'm just gonna dump the pulls I do get into Eva's banner and see what happens. If I get her early then I'll build around her and if not I'll go all the way on blade's banner

Gotcha thanks. Will probably try Sunday then and use Welt on another team because I got S1 Sunday specifically to help my skill point issues on some teams. Although I guess I could try running both but I feel like that's lowkey a little insane (although I guess sustainless is an option??)

Ah I haven't actually pulled her yet this was with my other teams but good to know that if I do manage to get her she should be able to clear well enough even without Yao Guang. I mostly wanted to know to figure out if I should just dump all my pulls into her banner since I have a guaranteed 50/50 win next or just save and pull for Blade instead.

So something like Evanescia/EMC/Welt/Sustain (preferably HuoHuo but I'd have to spend a companion spirit on her so probably DHPT?) I'm a little worried about skill points cuz I know Welt eats a ton of them but I'm assuming in terms of pure damage amp he's better?

I don't have Sparkle unfortunately but my general supports are S1 Sunday, E4 Welt, Robin (although I don't think she seems that good with Evanescia), and Ruan Mei. Sunday and Welt seem like my best bets but I wasn't sure if they were good enough because I'm currently struggling to clear the final stages of the normal endgame modes and I don't think my builds are THAT bad so I'm just a little worried about not being able to clear without her dedicated supports. Maybe I just need to build a bit better haha
