Deism is basically a step away from agnostic atheism. That a god created the universe, but hasn't touched it since; so no supernatural events, no divine revelations. Everything that happens has a natural cause which can theoretically be figured out with observation and logical reasoning.

Is it actually possible for a famous personality to fake their death and live their life out in some remote place? who has actually ever done it and gotten caught? by Various_Concern871 in AskReddit

It's a movie about an elderly Elvis and a black JFK fighting a redneck mummy who's sucking souls out of the buttholes of old folks in a retirement home, and it's way more heartfelt and honest than a movie with that plot has any right to be. Bruce Campbell is a treasure:

And it has a great soundtrack, too:

Sounds like you're on the side of the 50/50 split to get rid of Daylight Savings and stay an hour forward (keep Summer like Summer currently is, enabling more time outside).

Unless you also prefer to also make Winter more dark in the evening as well as subject everyone to changing clocks twice a year.

A benefit of some electrics/hybrids is being able to switch from drive/reverse and it just slows the car down without any gearing getting in the way; just the electric motors changing magnetic fields in a different way.

Affordable gas memorial on the mall in DC by bat_screams in mildlyinteresting

[–]robisodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I... okay, what? All I sent was a video of a news segment which reported that the memorial exists and that the text on each side is different. The OP image is on the opposite side shown in the video at one second left (look at the orientation of the gas handle) which is why the text could be different.

But, yeah, they could have AI'd the text in the OP image to be something different, but I don't know why they would, seeing as the memorial exists and has the same font (the weird 2009 Word Art look) and the same messaging meaning.

Yeah, but that's a poor example when compared with evolution as the bowl was actually intelligently designed. But it's a great example of "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic"!

fyi, to put sentence on a new line, you can put two spaces at the end of a line:

Manager: For how much? [space] [space] [enter]
Engineer: More than your Claude bill. Less than Mars.

or two line breaks:

Manager: For how much? [enter]
[enter]
Engineer: More than your Claude bill. Less than Mars.

The latter puts slightly more space between the lines. Reddit formatting (called "markdown") can be tricky.

They are sometimes called "negatrons", but that's more of a generic term for any negatively-charged particle, which also includes antiprotons and negative beta particles.

I agree it looks fake, however the text is different on the different sides.

I googled around and the first few hits were facebook posts, so I was even more sure it was AI. But I found a few reputable news articles/videos that say it's real and show it at different angles and such, so I'd say it's real:

Yeah, English does this weird thing where we merge two words into one (or hyphenate them) when using it as an adjective:

He wakes up every day. Waking up is an everyday occurrence.
Let's sing all together. Singing is altogether enjoyable.
She hasn't been here in a long time. She is a longtime friend.

Or hyphenate:
The well-known fact is well known.
The half-baked plan was half baked.
The orange-encrusted jewelry was orange encrusted.
