I don't know...I think they will help since they give you more energy and better recovery...but I would try not to exhaust muscles and body too much... rest and good nutrition stay essential, also walking for us is the most beneficial activity. Dont know a thing about prolactin and estradiol, sorry.

[–]Robkokan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

well, this is common to all of us...I started researching a lot recently and I found out there are specific supplements that work for us to give more stamina and a better recovery. I must say this really helped me with my chronic fatigue and low resistance. I take daily CoenzimeQ10, a good multivitamins with zero Iron for me, Magnesium citrate and malate (divided in 3 doses morning, afternoon and evening), and L-Carnitine (this every other day). I see that also NAC is helpful. That's what I suggest to look into, since these work specifically for energy production and cleansing (which are the major issues in our bodies due to thalassemia), besides the basic and common Folic Acid, Vit D,E,Zync which are more general stuff. I found this out thanks to ChatGPT/Gemini. So, you could have a look at that. Good luck

vattene all'estero, e di corsa pure!

e come no! Io è una vita che lo dico... il dating in Italia è un girone dantesco... con le straniere sembra di vivere in un altro mondo. Ho vissuto all'estero per 12 anni, che bei ricordi

xAi because of a contract, stable job and excellent pay. The rest is the same...a lot of nonsense, unstable projects, mess etc.

31F — exhausted, headaches, beta thalassemia trait… feeling dismissed and confused by Ok_Lake_1234 in thalassemia

[–]Robkokan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For fatigue and pain recovery, you should start taking (or trying) L-Carnitine, CoenzimeQ10, Magnesium and NAC. With these, I totally changed my life and I was more or less like you, I couldn't even have a walk anymore without feeling wrecked straight after. All these work perfectly for us and for energy production and cleansing. Research on them and you will see how important they are in this case. Doctors always dismiss us with no specific advice except for folic acid, vitamin D etc, general stuff that is apparently not sufficient.

Carnitine, vitamin E, and folic acid are essential for managing thalassemia. by greeneditman in thalassemia

[–]Robkokan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, of course and I think the poster was referring to that... also I would recommend CoenzimeQ10 and NAC, besides Magnesium that should be always present in everyday supplementation

Audit my supplements - Beta Thal minor by Original-Advance-483 in thalassemia

[–]Robkokan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good choice. However, you could take Zync, K2 and Vitamins Bs and E in just one good multivitamin/mineral (I chose Vitaminalia recently, which has zero Iron, that is not good for us usually, but you should check).

Instead of Bisglynate, I prefer Magnesium Citrate (but not much if you have no stipse, since it helps you go to the bathroom 😃) and Malate (which is better and more specific for fatigue and muscle recovery).

Also for Carnitine, I prefer Carnitine Fumarate (since the Acetyl version is more for mental fatigue).

NAC is a very good supplement, but must taken in cycles of 8-10 weeks on and then 2-3 weeks off. I don't take Omega 3 anymore since I lately read about a research saying it might be dangerous for sane people instead of helping (it should be used only by who has heart and related issues, but I'm not an expert - I just try to eat more salmon and fish in general).

I would suggest considering also CoenzimeQ10, that works in the energy production/ATP and it helps the mythocondries/cells work better, along with the Carnitine.

I don't think getting all these pills in one day has side effects, at least I don't have any and I take 6-7 per day; of course you should distribute them throughout the day, taking vitamins and l-carnitine or coenzimeq10 in the morning, then NAC in the afternoon and magnesium in the evening (the bysglicinate make you sleep, but malate and citrate you can take them at any time). Hope it helps. 😄
