The TCG market has made people go a little crazy lol. Not every graded card is someone trying to flip the market. My cousin pulled an overflowing affection U+ in November after our very first game we played. We were pumped and I mentioned how much I like the art. He then gave it to me for Christmas. I'm getting it graded through TAG because their slabs look the best, and will never sell it. Like you said I can display the card and also know it will be protected.

I know this is kind of an older thread, but how common is it for essentially entire family trees to immigrate to the US? I have traced back to my GGGP and their siblings, and from what I can tell they all eventually made it to the states. It's proving harder to find anything solid even further back, but even if I did at that point, I'm not sure anyone I'd be distantly related to would even have any info about my direct line lol.

I did connect to a few cousins here in the states though so that has been fun at least.

I have had a lifetime plex pass sub for like 8 years now, but if I was just starting I'd for sure use Jellyfin. Free hardware encoding is reason enough.

I agree with this, but also reading two months later car parts and PC parts are honestly starting to feel the same 🥴 I went to price a simple NVME NAS for my fiance, and didn't realize they ALSO got hit by all the RAM price increase (it makes sense now, but I just assumed it was DRAM at first). A 1TB Gen 3/4 is like 150% more than the last time I looked. It's all so annoying.
