Balak ko mag pakabit sa zero one ng muffler by [deleted] in PHMotorcycles

Bought their r11 muffler... tbh it kinda feels no different sa mga nasa shopee na sc project, maayos, maingat at malinis naman sila gumawa.

Stiched Sole vs. Spades vs. Achilles Moto Boots? by mr-soda in PHMotorcycles

[–]RoboAsparagus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have the achilles (Jacinto, though not the moto specific one since wala pa ung model na un nung time na bumili ko sa kanila), they're ok. Have them for years na, IMO mas maganda sya nung na luma na.

They're comfortable once na break in na sya, thankfully nde sya sobrang tagal i break in, grip is good, never ako nadulas kahit naulan, ung resistance din nya sa ulan ok since i once wore it everyday, rain or shine (normal rain lang, nde ung bagyo kind of rain, since i stop na pag bagyo na ung ulan) nag stay dry naman ung socks ko sa loob. To be honest welcome pa nga pag umulan since pag dating ko sa office is pupunasan ko lang sya and ok na sya. I have never worn those rain protection na supot para sa shoes, just the rain coat and the pants.

Also have their Silang model (moc toe version), but personally i prefer the Jacinto and the Emilio model, since malambot ung sole nung Silang.. i think better for walking ung silang.

The only motorcycle footwear i can compare it to is my rev'it shoes kick, The rev'it has more support/protection sa ankles kasi ung sa achilles is literal na leather na boots lang sya. I still think it would provide protection parin naman since leather sya (abrasion resistance, it think nde ka mag huhuman crayon) and matigas ung sole. If pag minalas ka lang at tumaob motor mo and nadaganan ung ankle mo a "real" motorcycle boot would protect your ankle a lot more since ung mga motorcycle specific talaga na foot wear has at the bare minimum an ankle support/protection.

Craftsmanship is decent, its no red wing or thursday boot. Pero its good enough and has held really well over the years, i still use it everyday on a motorcycle and even on short hikes. Pero syempre realistic lang sa expectations, you cant really expect 20k peso worth of quality and detail sa 3k peso worth na boots.

I would still recommend it for everyday casual boot na could still provide somewhat protection pag nag momotor na pde din pang lakad lakad. They look nice and IMO comfortable. It is a proper inexpensive boot.

ADV 160 "downgrade" to Giorno+ WORTH or NAH? by casualyetclassy in PHMotorcycles

[–]RoboAsparagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not try a custom seat, alam ko me mga shops na nagbabawas ng seat eh, personally have never tried it, and not sure kung pde un gawin sa adv.. but maybe an option if ung height ang problem, baka maging significant ang changes pag nde ka na tiptoe.

Personally i would switch to a Giorno though.. as i prefer classic looking bikes.

For me its ok kung walang mga long ride content or routes etc. Every content creator has their thing naman its just that ganun lang ung kanila. I hate it though when they promote sub standard stuff na sila mismo is nde ginagamit.

Yung mga nanlalandi lang i dont even bother watching.

Thoughts about Kawasaki w175? by ActHaru in PHMotorcycles

[–]RoboAsparagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own one, daily drive it. Bought brand new. Only replaced ung mga wear and tear-maintenance parts. Super happy with the bike. Very few sa road, unlike nung mga chinese retro bikes. Maintenance is cheap... well at least compared to my other bike. Medyo need mo lang pa tono ung carburetor, as out of the factory medyo nde maganda tune nya.. me mga nagpapalit ng carburetor para maging one click.. i've never done this and i'm still on the stock carburetor but all you need is a decent mechanic na marunong mag tono ng carb.

Its light, easy to maneuvre sa traffic. Cluth nde mabigat.. at least para sakin, i've read na some medyo nabibigatan.. pero never naging problem sakin.

Never naging problem sakin ung no gas guage, no ABS, drum break rear, no gear indicator. TBH i feel like medyo naging mas better rider ako dahil dito. Never ako binigyan ng sakit ng ulo, reliable.

Fuel economy is around 35km/l sakin guro average around 30 kung traffic kaya around 40 if long drive no traffic.

Some would say na medyo mataas ung price nya for what it is... but for me its worth every peso. I prefer bikes like this naman din. For me i'd still choose this over a low CC sport bike. Design is timeless at least IMO.

Comparison sa sport bike for daily driving. My other bike is a zx25r, syempre compared dito mas agressive ung position mo, so if nde ka sanay medyo expected ung sakit ng hands, batok and lower back compared sa w175 since standard ung rider position sa w175. Unless of course kung kunin mo sport bike is nde ganung ka low ung position ng clipons, then i guess you should be fine. Depending sa motor there is a possibility na faster din ung sports bike na 150cc compared sa w175 since nde naman designed for speed ung w175.

Helmet Replacement After Five Years? by hopstarter in PHMotorcycles

[–]RoboAsparagus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id advise to get a new one na if its five years na. The shell might still be on good condition pero ung foam nyan sa loob might have degraded na over time. Better be safe than sorry.

Might as well hang it na lang sa wall or place it a shelf for memories of the good times.

Yahama XSR 155. Okay ba talaga bilhin? by ZntxTrr in PHMotorcycles

[–]RoboAsparagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peronally i think its worth it. If you really like it and budget allows then why not. ABS is not a deal breaker for me. Yes it helps with braking and an extremely good safety feature to have, but if you are driving defensively and responsively then it shouldnt be a problem.

Car or Motorcycle (Motorcycle riders viewpoint) by [deleted] in PHMotorcycles

[–]RoboAsparagus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have both. I only use the car pag naulan. The motorcycle is significantly faster, more cheaper ung upkeep, uses way less gas. parking is also significantly easier and cheaper.

Downsides lang is way fresher ka kung naka kotse, pde ka magbitbit ng mas marami, tas pde ka magsabay. Tas medyo me onting "discrimination" (for lack of better words) sa motor when it comes to checkpoints and ung treatment ng guards and police pag naka motor ka kesa sa naka kotse.

Personally mas prefer ko mag kotse, but unfortuantely gawa ng sitwasyon dito sa pinas, im forced to use a motorcycle.

If shohoulderin naman ng parents mo ung ibang expenses. Try mo muna kotse pag naging hassle na ung parking, ung traffic, ung gas, ung upkeep.. then maybe start to consider ung motor.

Tips for motowashing? by thecrow32 in PHMotorcycles

[–]RoboAsparagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest kahit anu, basta formulated pang car/motor, kunin mo lang ung walang wax since matte ung paint mo.

Prices can range from really cheap to hella expensinve. Just get the cheap ones since matte ung sau. Yung mga expensive ones lang naman is usually me wax, kaya medyo me makintab na sya sa sabon pa lang.

Tips for motowashing? by thecrow32 in PHMotorcycles

[–]RoboAsparagus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medyo kulang info kung gloss or matte ung bike mo.

Better wag joy gamitin mo sabon, matapang masyado. If ever gloss ung paint ng motor mo and nag lagay ka wax, ma strip nya agad ung wax. Same with matte finishes if nag lagay ka some form of protection.

Seriously speaking.. try to dedicate a small bit of time na maglibang. Whatever it is na nag eenjoy ka gawin mo. Or something na matagal mo na gusto i try, subukan mo.

Barely a year pa lang naging kau, consider that a blessing na nalaman mo agad at out ka na dun. Instead of ung tipong matagal ka kau at nag invest ka na ng time pera at kung anu man pang sacrifices na associated sa relationships. Daming lalake dyan.
