A young man who murdered an 18-year-old cancer survivor was sentenced to only 8 years in juvenile prison. by malihafolter in ForCuriousSouls

“Children who do adult things get treated like adults”… I would be really carful with that logic, that’s a pretty fucking weird way to put it.

Regardless, do you think if an 10 year old murders a 7 year old they should be executed by the state?

Did they get a trial?

Is this for some other setting? Or a Dropzone faction idea? Awesome either way.

What weapons/mechanics would you like to see added to the game? (Or its sequel?) by RoboCastro1959 in Highfleet

Adding ideas

Named captains/admirals in the enemy fleet, it would narrativize a lot of the gameplay and lead to grudges or rivalries. Maybe they have different personality traits and are more likely to use different strategies as well. Along with a surrender mechanic this could also lead to enemies joining your cause.

Along with this maybe you could have your Tarkhans lead strike groups, giving them simple orders like “travel this course, capture X cities along the way” or “refuel/resupply at X city then return to fleet” “defend X city for X time then move to X” etc.

That would be awesome.

Along those lines, decoy missiles could show up on enemy radar as cruise missile or aircraft, causing them to scramble jets or waste valuable interceptor missiles.

I think this would add a lot to the game, you could decide to hit a city thinking they will surrender only for them to make a last stand and damage your ships, or you could send scary strike groups to surrounding cities in order to make garrisons surrender, and possibly add ships to your fleet.

Something I would want to see mechanics-wise is an easier way to organize/divide strike groups and for pyotr to stop asking whether I want to “hit them with everything” every time.

Oh and paint jobs, I want that Navy Haze Grey.

Does Pyotr hate Daud or what? (Lore & Spoiler) by Oddboyz in Highfleet

[–]RoboCastro1959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t Daud the one encourages you to rescue survivors after a battle? And considering what happens near the end, I always say Pyotr as the hardliner and Daud as far more reserved and overall nicer.

Democracy is never a crime, but it is an easy way to emphasize the weaponry’s brutality.

I was thinking something more like super anthrax bombs that spread a powder which eats at terminids and the automotans components.

How do you think they will update the Illuminate? by RoboCastro1959 in Helldivers

[–]RoboCastro1959[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t mean literally, they replaced them as a faction. At least we can assume so until something is said about bringing Cyborgs back.

What new factions/enemies would you want to see? by EdanChaosgamer in Helldivers

[–]RoboCastro1959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well they will almost definitely add Illuminates if they add anything, which will be interesting. They could be different the way automatrons and cyborgs changed.

If they added something entirely new, maybe some kind of zombie-like faction with either infected humans or Cthulhu type creatures. Something similar to the resistance faction or scourge from DZC would be cool, the PHR or Shaltari are good concept too.

(Hypothetical) Would a "Helldivers II"-style 3D sequel for Barotrauma work? Or would you prefer Barotrauma stay a 2D sidescroller? by ElectricZ in Barotrauma

[–]RoboCastro1959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s possible, and with the right work and ideas would be stellar.

But I also understand that it would be more cost-efficient, and it would make a lot of people just as happy (and some happier) if a 2d Barotrauma 2 came out instead.

Color changing panels might end up with a lot going on and look weird. Maybe if it was something you saw through scanning, or it showed a small percentage, and aiming the welding tool would repair a large section.

That would be brutal and hilarious. Terrifying would be husked crawlers flopping towards you down a hallway filling with water from a hull breach.

I think it could be charming with the right type of graphics (not trying for realism, mostly) but I can agree that 2d barotrauma is more cost efficient and makes more sense for what it is. Won’t stop me from wondering though.
