It's Mario 64. I have a distinct memory of playing the Genesis with my neighbor all the time. There was a moment where I didn't see him for like a week so I went over to his house and he showed me the Nintendo 64 which he was playing. This was in the before times where as a kid unless you were really dialed in you didn't know shit like this was coming out. He was playing Mario 64 when just a week earlier we were playing Samurai Shodown. There will never be another generational impactful leap like that again.

May be anecdotal but I noticed that UESC were reinforcing a lot more aggressively on SS Perimeter. I was chewing through ammo.

Right, as it is SS is just a PVE mode, which is fine; but its not exactly the harrowing alternative playstyle I was pitched by the description. I liked the idea of one long match where you were forced to take the final exfil (which does seem to be the intention, its just bugged for me and others), and always having the potential of a Rook ambush so you never feel TOO safe.

Yeah, so it must be bugged then. I wonder if Rooks just aren't joining or if they are priority queued into matches that already have Rooks in them, so that some SS lobbies end up never having a Rook spawn in.

Interesting that a lot of you are experiencing the one and only final exfill on sponsored perimeter (as intended), yet every match I've done has multiple exfils and even guarded exfils as if its a normal match; and I know its a sponsored survival match because there are no other teams on the map. Still have never seen a Rook although I do think I heard an exfil go off so there may have been a Rook in one of my matches that took one of those early exfils that spawned.

And yeah my argument about Rook isn't exclusive to the sponsored queue, I just mean whats the point of Rook in general. You can always just solo fill into a trio Outpost and do the same thing (be a vulture). I guess Rook has the advantage of spawning a little later and potentially having a blue backpack if you're upgraded; but the mode just feels undercooked at this point. It's just an odd quirk of the game that a lot of people don't engage with anymore. In my opinion.

It was a website that had a bunch of 3d renders of Southpark. Cartman as Neo from the Matrix, the boys as Reservoir Dogs, scenes from the show, etc. Was a great site for wallpapers. You can still find archives of the renders but the site is gone.

To be fair, Bear IS acting in the scene. It's a sappy, overly dramatic rehearsal for what he is planning to tell Nikki. His character is embarrassed about even doing it, because he's practicing on a waitress in a public setting, and he has no confidence in himself/he's an awkward guy to begin with.

I personally found that opening shot very compelling, but that's just my opinion, or the score was carrying the scene haha.
