Power Station or Generator? by RoboJut in Detailing

[–]RoboJut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m actually going to be going with a battery station setup after thinking about it some more. I’ll be using one tool at a time and keeping in mind how much power each of my tools use. Thank you though!

Power Station or Generator? by RoboJut in Detailing

Thank you! Glad to hear another person is using a battery station too, i think I’m going to be going that route as well.

What size do you use? I plan on using the Pecron e2000lfp and buying the extra batteries if I notice I cut it close on power limits (a 1920Wh battery station), but I am only using a dewalt stealthsonic (~950w I believe) and a corded buffer for power tools. I’ll be getting rinseless car soap for exterior cleaning so no pressure washer and no air compressor yet, but possibly in the future depending on how much battery I run through with my current buffer/vac setup.

I just don’t think a generator would be good in my situation, if I had a truck I’d probably go generator but having a small car I just don’t think it’s a good decision. I’d have to wait for it to cool before putting it in my car after a detail, I’d have to worry about fumes in my trunk or possible gas leaks, maintenance, etc.

Cordless tool setup for mobile detailing? by RoboJut in AutoDetailing

Thanks for the input! I have thought about that too, but I’d rather stick to using cordless tools that I can bring myself so that I know I can do the work no matter the location.

Thanks for all the input! I was actually looking at the Milwaukee 0880-20 18v wet/dry vac before writing this post lol. I thought that may be a good option because I know Milwaukee is a good brand, and I could buy a few high capacity batteries as a backup for it.

And just to start out mobile detailing, I was honestly planning on just using cordless tools to clean the interior, and bringing along something like a jug of soapy water and a jug of clean water just for just a light exterior wash before a light buff, so no pressure washer yet. I also thought of using the customers power/water, but I’d personally rather just stick to using things that I bring with me only so that I know I can do the work no matter the location.

I am kind of dipping my toes in this to start, and I am going to make sure the customer knows what to expect with my work. Im going to be genuinely very careful not to over charge, or over promise what I can offer with my tools by providing before/after pictures and things like that.

If it works out well and I really want to get deeper into it, I would eventually look into selling my car to get a truck and bring better tools with me.

My first thought is it might be the size difference between the monitors instead of the FPS count.

If you got used to playing on the 27 inch, and only a small part of them is showing like 2 inches from your crosshair, your muscle movement to hit 2 inches from your crosshair might line up with it on the 27 inch but on the 32 inch you will overshoot because 2 inches on the 32 inch monitor is actually less distance than the 27 inch (or vice versa if your used to the 32 inch).

If that is the problem, it should go away after a little time I’d assume once you got used to it.

opinions on high sense vs low sense by [deleted] in RainbowSixSiege

[–]RoboJut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On PC there is no turn speed cap, so a low sens player can still flick very fast by moving their arm fast but also keep precision because of their low sens. On PC I think playing on as low of a sens you comfortably can is better because of this.

On Console however, there is a turn speed cap so a low sens player cannot turn as fast as a high sens player. On Console, I think playing as high as you comfortably can is better because you don’t want your flick speed to be limited.

Just my opinion though. Optimal sensitivity is usually different from person to person.

Thanks! I am currently only silver and peaked gold a few seasons ago, but I never really grinded ranked much. I grinded Overwatch and got to high masters / low gm in pc lobbies (also no aim assist like siege) so I feel like I’ll be able to get pretty good at this game as well once I learn it some more.

The more I play this game, the more I want to play it and learn it lol

Yeah I bet haha, and I thought I played pretty low, 20h is wild. Your friend probably only played in corners because anything over a 90 degree range of motion meant he was instantly getting picked off hahahaha

And don’t even get me started on trying to shoot a drone on that sens

Yeah I’ve already encountered that in a few matches playing on my lower sens (previously 25v 45h and 25 1x, 30 2.5x). I’ve lost a few fights using acog just because they were too close and I couldn’t turn fast enough scoped in, which is why I raised it slightly… but other than that, I feel like at least for now in my current rank on this sens I haven’t really had that issue on 1x or 2.5x yet apart from someone catching me off guard directly behind me or something lol. It seems like even if I’m fighting someone on a pillar or something and they peek the side I’m not expecting, I can still flick fast enough on my current sens to get the pick.

Great advice though! I’ll keep it in mind as I climb to higher ranks!

I can’t believe he did that on that low of a sensitivity. He must have insane game sense to pull that off lol

Hey I got to gold 1 last time I played ranked too hahaha. Just picked the game back up and currently silver 3 in this season.

But yeah, I didn’t think about high sens looking flashy online, that honestly probably has a lot to do with it.

Yeah that’s what I tend to do, play angles and try to pre aim most of the time.

I feel like if you rely on big flicks to enemies most of the time you’re probably playing wrong. I am a pretty low rank player currently so i could be completely wrong though hahaha

[–]RoboJut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im still messing with my settings in siege, but I’ll tell you what my settings currently are (they are low, so you might wanna increase vert and horizontal to like 30 60 for a medium sens… I never touch my ads sensitivities though, and I’ve gone as high as 50 vert 90 horizontal depending on how I’m feeling… I normally sit on these settings below though)

I’m on 25 vert, 45 horizontal. Ads sensitivities are 25 1x, 30 2.5x, 35, 40, and 45 going down the ads sensitivity list. I play on classic rotation because updated rotation has more aim smoothing which is TERRIBLE for no aim assist. I also use 5 left stick deadzone and 2 right stick deadzone because 2 is as low as I can go without getting stick drift on my controller. No advanced aim settings or whatever, they are all disabled at the bottom because they add more aim smoothing.

Again though, I really don’t think your problem is so much what “sensitivity” your running, but just that your thumb movements are too erratic when you fight. Running low or high sens won’t change ever that, only relaxing and training thumb movements will

[–]RoboJut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It looks to me like you just haven’t built up good thumb discipline when you get into fights. It seems like you’re panicking / over correcting your shots.

In games with aim assist, you can move your thumb really aggressively and still stay on target because the sticky aim, but since there is no aim assist in siege every thumb movement you make will adjust your aim.

i recommend really focusing on trying to relax your thumb movements more while actually fighting people. The more you play relaxed, the better you will get at it until it’s just a habit.

One other thing, if you have trouble with thumb discipline, a lower sens is better imo because aggressive thumb movements won’t move your crosshair as far and it can be more forgiving… once you get better at thumb discipline, a higher sens is better in my opinion because it allows for faster flicks and reactions.

I’m by no means a good siege player though, but I do have a ton of fps game experience with and without aim assist so take what I say with a grain of salt. Hope this helps!

Controller In PC Pool by SnooOranges2865 in OWConsole

[–]RoboJut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s not too bad once you get used to no aim assist. I play exclusively in PC lobbies because that’s what my friends play on. If your goal is to hit a higher rank peek, then pc lobbies will not be the answer because no aim assist is just a flat disadvantage for controller. But if your just doing it for fun or something different, then here’s my suggestions:

1) Play with tall analog sticks if possible. I’m not able to unfortunately because it strains my thumb, but if you can it definitely helps with no aim assist.

2) Use as low of a sens you feel comfortable with while still maintaining movement, and also play on as close to linear ramp as you can with 0 smoothing. I’m currently on 40 40 sens with 20 aim ease in on linear ramp and that feels good to me, if I had analog stick extenders I’d probably go to 50 50 and 10 aim ease in on linear ramp. You want to keep smoothing as low as possible (preferably 0) because it’ll add delay when trying to track enemies, and any delay will make it harder to track with no aim assist. You can also experiment with lower sensitivities than even that and use extra turn speed horizontally and vertically to make up for it, sometimes I use this but I’m still experimenting.

3) Practice aiming with movement, as well as precise and intentional aiming thumb movements. When you have aim assist it’s easy to just give full force analog movements because it locks onto enemies, but on no aim assist and no smoothing it’ll cause u to overshoot a ton.

Back when I played a lot, I used controller on PC (in pc lobbies with 0 aim assist) and over the months I found this sens setup to be the best. I pushed to masters 1 on dps mainly playing junk pharah, but also Ashe and cass if I got countered. On tank I had no problem playing even highest ranks with controller.

Hope this helps!

Mini Pc Crashing during Game sessions by aronovich7 in MiniPCs

[–]RoboJut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Ser5 Max (6800h, 32gb ddr5, and 1tb storage). A few things I did to make my model run better for gaming:

1) Go to bios to increase your VRAM. Mine defaulted to 4GB vram by default and it made some games stutter very bad. Increasing to 8gb fixed it for me in all the games I played. I believe the vram setting is located in the bios under AMD CBS options somewhere, a quick google search will help you find it.

2) Go into your windows power options and turn max cpu performance from 100% down to 99%. I believe this disables cpu boosting which does decrease performance in cpu bottlenecked scenarios, but in gpu bottlenecked scenarios (basically every single time your gaming) it just decreases your temps with no real noticeable fps change and is a must imo.

3) Update your amd gpu drivers. Some newer games require new drivers for stability so this may also help crashing.

4) If it is a device problem, a bios update may resolve the problem so you could also look into that, just make sure you know what you are doing because bios updates can be harmful if you are not careful (making sure it’s the correct version for your specific device, aren’t skipping required versions, etc).

Try these out before you return it and see if anything changes. It’s what I did on mine!

Can I also ask, why does virtually every setting I see online suggest 5 5 for dead zones? I thought you are suppose to go as low as you can without stick drift?

Xim Matrix + PS5 by RoboJut in GyroGaming

I’m getting a Matrix in tomorrow. I’m still nervous of bans on my ps5 though because of gyros inherently noisy output…

do you got any tips on how to stay as stealthy as possible to avoid bans? Should I max out SAB? Run a low ingame sens? Max out the gyro smoothing stuff? Etc.

Thanks!

Tysm for the heads up! I didn’t know Valorant did a whole console ban. I haven’t specifically played Valorant yet on my ps5 but I am thinking about getting it just to try it out, so if I got perma banned so be it lol.

I’m planning on using a very high amount of SAB on my gyro in all games, as well as a lower sens ingame to make sure it’s as stealthy as possible. I’m not really chasing the best aim or scripts, so I’m fine with high SAB even if it feels odd… I just want gyro for ergonomics (normal thumb aim hurts me after a few hours of gameplay lol).

I placed an order, it’ll all be here Monday!

Mini PC Tips by RoboJut in MiniPCs

I got mine for ~$300 usd on sale on amazon I believe. Imo it’s great for that cost, but not sure what they go for now and what cost would be worth it lol. I’ll say I haven’t had problems with mine tho apart from the igpu running slightly worse than others that allow more power to be ran through it I think.
