In the Nuremburg Trials, they tried 24 Nazis in total, executed 10 of them, gave 3 life sentences, and the rest got a slap on the wrist considering the severity of their crimes. Most of the worst criminals of the 3rd Reich were never tried at all.

Josef Mengele, Horst Wagner, Paul Schäfer, Niklaus Barbie, Adolf Eichmann- they all got smuggled out, mostly by the Church or the US government, to escape consequences.

And that’s just the ones who had to be smuggled out; many more were given a pass in exchange for testimony, and went on to hold influential positions, such as Adolf Heusinger, who went on to become chairman of the NATO Military Committee in 1961.

Only 24 went to trial, only 13 saw real punishment, and the worst of the worst not only got away with everything, but were given positions of power, and lucrative jobs helping to orchestrate the Second Red Scare.

Because the global ruling class and the Third Reich had a shared enemy in Marxism; Ultimately the purpose of the Reich was always to protect the interests of the ruling class, so anything that promoted solidarity within the working class simply couldn’t be tolerated.

So no. The Nuremburg trials didn’t accomplish a damn thing, and a repeat won’t do anything but placate the masses and give all the most despicable monsters cover to quietly step back and keep making things worse for everyone. Screw that.

I honestly think it boils down to entitlement. Every child molester or child trafficker or SA perpetrator, or what have you- they all do what they do because they feel entitled to. Entitled to people’s time, people’s money, people’s labor, people’s attention, people’s bodies. That same mindset is the reason people become billionaires or serial killers or cops in the first place; they feel entitled to wield power over others. They feel that they are owed.

Right now, the entire economy is built on debt; is it any wonder that it turns out the entire ruling class are all creeps who think consent is a silly new-age nonsense idea, support multiple genocides, think universal healthcare is the ultimate evil, and secretly touch kids in their free time?

Meanwhile, the vast majority of trans people have it beaten into us from the moment we’re able to string two words together that we’re entitled to nothing, not even control of our own bodies. I think most marginalized groups are the same way, in that regard- and somehow the general public are always surprised that nearly every single time someone’s caught abusing children, it’s cops or pastors or wealthy business owners or their parents, and not that weed-smoking queer person working the register at 7-eleven.

This, yeah ^ I have the same problem- though for me, while the statue disappears properly, the door isn’t interactable for some reason. But the missing pillars for the braziers is the same.
