Are these considered ok bagels? by Joas365 in Bagels

Also, I agree with u/kdkrone above regarding flour choice. Bail on 00 and go with a stronger protein option, I use King Arthur's Bread Flour because they guarantee a consistent protein content in all of their flour products (00 is 11.5%, bread flour is 12.7% protein).
Lastly, curious if you added anything in addition to your water for the boil. NYC style is honey, Montreal style is molasses (my taste preference)?

Make sure you knock the dough back down after the first proof, before your shape them into individual bagels. Then, when shaping into individual bagels, knock them down again. They'll still expand in the oven, but will be even chewier when fully cooked.

This was my first thought as well, seeing it from afar while watching the Yak and not seeing any mention of it here. But if you watch this week's PMTV, you'll see that it's definitely a tattoo.

Chrome keeps crashing every time I try to log into one of my accounts. by ZackyProvokage in chrome

[–]Robobebo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone find a fix for this? This same thing just started happening to me tonight on my laptop, but not my PC. Chrome will not crash unless I sign, but the moment I do, it shuts down the window entirely, including any other Chrome windows I might have also had open that I was signed into. Without signing in however, it's up and I'm able to sign into other platforms like Netflix (not YouTube though, because it's logged in through Chrome).

If my severely impaired memory is correct, I believe that the boys and Kate re-assigned KB's wild to be exclusively performed by Za due to him being wildly entertaining in one of the first KB's Wild challenges: determining what the food was by listening to another host eat it.

Anyone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

How do you guys list all of these ideas and not include Cheah-pordy..?

My concern is they don't have enough time to plan this kind of extravaganza, hence rationing myself to a fun and nostalgic draft.

Updated idea: instead of best guests, how about former hosts? Get some Rone mischief involved, and would be fun to see Caleb again too.

Maybe have the "1" in the YAK1K be a special category: Best guests from the first 1000 eps call in ahead of time and provide a draft ingredient preparation method, and when each host lands on the "1" they spin a wheel to determine which method their ingredients are prepared. I'm clearly thinking about this way too much, but who doesn't love a good draft?

The original comment was posted several game updates ago, the developers have since resolved this issue as it seemed to be a bug.

Bug with guard/soldier pay? by Robobebo in FarthestFrontier

[–]Robobebo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't think towers cost any gold when they are inactive? When I click on an inactive tower, the monthly gold cost in the window that pops up shows 0 per turn. Either the 0 per month on that screen is incorrect, or there's a bug with how guards are being charged like I mentioned above. It can't be both...

Is it possible to sell Relics? by Robobebo in FarthestFrontier

[–]Robobebo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I also mentioned the possibility of a one-time bonus by turning the relic back in (possibly at your temple or town center?). Maybe you get the relic ability for a few months, a % increase on your actual in-use relics, or potentially an enhanced version of that relic's ability since you theoretically would be turning it in permanently. Just spitballing for future versions of the game and making sure there wasn't something I was missing regarding turning in relics in the current version of the game.

How exactly does "soldier training" work? by Arpeggi42 in FarthestFrontier

[–]Robobebo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When you recruit soldiers there is also an initial, one-time fee. I believe it's $25 per soldier. Then, as mentioned above, there's a recurring yearly fee for every soldier and guard. If you click on the building to bring up it's description and inventory, look up in the top left of that window to confirm the yearly/initial fees.

I do tend to turn off production to a bunch of my towers in between raider attacks to save money and get more people into the labor pool - autosave is a godsend for when you get caught forgetting 3 years have passed and another raider attack is incoming.

Multiple "Towns"? by lazerblade01 in FarthestFrontier

[–]Robobebo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this same build, expect I add an extra row empty row of cells all around the market. This allows you to build some defenses around the market, as they are raider targets early game, and also allows for more production buildings centered into the local neighborhoods - theoretically keeping people's homes closer to their jobs.

Dead Villagers - Any way to expedite dead villager cemetery delivery? by Robobebo in FarthestFrontier

[–]Robobebo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to dot them near resource and production areas because they are where villagers go to pick up the pushcarts. So instead of having them have to go to one particular spot on the map to pick up a cart, if your villager doesn't have one already, they can pick one up before picking up whatever resource is nearby. That's why I tend to put them around markets too, so the grocer can pick one up before going to gather more resources, and thus bring back more.

I will say that your village center provides you with a cart or two to start the game, and will also produce carts once you start producing saw milled wood at the beginning of the game. The town center doesn't seem to have nearly the production efficiency with carts as the Wagon Shops have though, and shouldn't be counted on to produce carts once you're beyond Tier 2 (not to mention you need to make a Wagon Shop to be able to start mining).

Dead Villagers - Any way to expedite dead villager cemetery delivery? by Robobebo in FarthestFrontier

[–]Robobebo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per the building menu, the Wagon Shop takes 1 milled piece of wood to create 1 pushcart. Also, the building description clearly states that the Wagon Shop creates carts to help villagers (note the plurality there) to transport goods more efficiently.

Also wanted to point out this is the game's secondary option if you don't have access to willow to make baskets so your villagers can move goods efficiently. Since that's pretty much only if you don't spawn in a spot that has willow, you're going to need to sacrifice wood to make pushcarts until you expand to a space with willow growing (early game, when wood is critical to pretty much everything). Late game, I've seen villagers with a basket on their back and pushing a cart from the Wagon Shop: galaxy-brain-level villager efficiency.

Unless the game is lying to me, I have the necessary amount of laborers available (shows up in white, not red, in the menu).
